The focal point of the restaurant is a 160-foot, LED HD video board wall that is ideal for viewing the nation's top sports and entertainment events. 72 Tavern & Grill will be open 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

My husband and I ate at 72 Tavern before a UTICA City Soccer game. They were still offering brunch when we arrived so I ordered brunch and my husband ordered lunch.
Both meals were good and so was the service despite the crowd. The bloody Mary’s were a small meal in themselves. They came with a large stalk of celery, stuffed olives, lemon, lime, bacon and shrimp!
This is a fun place to go to eat and/or drink before an event at the Adirondack Bank Center.

It was very cold in the restaurant. Menu is limited as it is a sports bar, but food was good. The ribs fell off the bone and the teriyaki salmon was delicious. The Coleslaw had a little spice to it as well as the rice. For dessert we had the raspberry cheesecake which was to die for! Price was very reasonable.

I come into town once per year and have has two visits there, last year and this. Had a burger first trip, it was for lunch and it was good. This year, I went with friends and made the mistake of ordering the ribs, which were somewhat tough. I am used to the "fall off the bone type" which these were not. That being said, the place is spacious with many large screen TV's including one humongous one. Service was fair, our server did a lot of chatting with friends which interrupted our service somewhat

We have been going to 72 Tavern & Grill for New Year's Eve since it has opened. We have always had a great experience there. This New Year's Eve we arrived for our 5 PM reservation and was given a lunch menu by the hostess. We questioned the waitress of the menu. She answered with the manager choose this for the evening. Disappointed is hardly the word to use. She said Babe's is serving full dinner menu if we choose to go there. Well, we made the mistake of staying at 72. Three sandwiches, 3 draft beers were over $100. This is not including the tip. The place was only half full as to years in the past. Shame on management. If this New Years menu was on Facebook, we are not subscribers to Facebook.
Shame on you for a lousy New Years eve dinner. We were loyal customers to 72.
We will not returning back

Stopped in with my family, great service, huge appetizers, one of the most pleasant staff I've seen, fodd was good as well as prices. Plenty of TVs sports broadcasting ...etc.
Trash can Nachos are amazing.

We have visited 72 Tavern several times. The food is different than the typical "bar" food. It is a little more café within a bar. They like to add specials to supplement their regular menu, such as an affordable BBQ menu and lots of drink specials. The wait staff have all been great. You can enjoy almost any game you want on one of the many televisions lining all four walls. You can still carry a conversation, even with a bar crowd and the music or game broadcast. Prices range from affordable to moderate.

We tried them out while in town mostly because other places we wanted to try were closed on Monday. That said, we are glad we came. Our server was excellent. He was friendly, professional and took great care of us. Coming during happy hour is well worth it. Drinks can drive up the cost of any meal. Coming here during happy hour and taking advantage of their specials will save you money. We shared the nachos with the beef brisket. The brisket was excellent. Just wish they gave you more. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and recommend you check them out.

Perfect place to gather for the Women's FIFA World Cup. Sunday brunch menu awesome too. We have been here before and after Auditorium Events too. Perfect for UCFC and Comets games.

Great lunch place and best burgers in Utica. Service was excellent. Our server Yanna was exceptional and made sure we were well looked after.

This barely one-year old tavern really has all it takes to be a success - one super sized big screen, plenty of HD TVs for watching your favorite game, good food, a nice bar and plenty of booths and tables plus a friendly and welcoming staff. We went for a few drinks and appetizers (chicken wings are a must, they were crispy and tasty) and truly enjoyed everything. I loved the historical sports facts offered in the menu. Awesome!

We were attending a college hockey game at the neighboring arena. The food was good and service was helpful and courteous. Thge atmosphere was very sports oriented, with many big screen tvs and a variety of seating options.

Right next to the auditorium in downtown Utica and parking is not obvious, but I was fine. I have no clue how long it's been open as it appears relatively new. Menu was cool and had some neat historical information. I went very basic and just got some chicken tenders (still a diet violation) but they were good and overall I was pleased. I will be back.

Went solo to watch an away Comets game. They have many high quality HD TVs to view the latest sports events. Ordered the Bourbon Pork Chop dinner from the bar and it was outstanding! Prices are a little high for the area but worth it to keep the riff raff out. Will definitely return to try other dishes.

Met girlfriends for a supper out. It was not a busy night. We were seated and waited too long for a server to take our drink order, so we had to ask for service. Finally got we got drinks. Ordered supper. Food was average. Won’t go again.
