We got takeout here during our stay at a local campground. We decided to keep it easy and get takeout chicken sandwiches. The food was decent, but wasn't to over the top. We'd eat here again but maybe try something different.
I am in the Saranac Lake region often as my daughter lives there. We have eaten in so many restaurants in Lake Placid and Saranac Lake. What a shame that we have not tried Amado before. The food is absolutely outstanding! The chef specials were...More
Thanks for the kind words. Our menu on our site is up to date but we run weekly specials which consists of about 8-10 items. That way there is always something new. As to my experience, I have been a chef for 30 yrs and...More
Just go. You will not believe you are dining in Tupper Lake. The chef is passionate, food-erudite and treats his customers like family--a key hallmark of any great restaurant. Also, his wife is charming and warm. The aged beef and hamburgers--elite. Cannot wait to go...More
I thank you for the kind words but am confused as to why you only gave us a 1 star review as it seems like from your words you enjoyed yourself with us.
This restaurant is one of the best places for wonderful meals. Chef Cory does amazing things with seemingly ordinary ingredients. His risotto is outstanding in more than one way....mushroom, vegetable and I think there was another choice. This is top quality food preparation that you...More

Yes you asked for an add on. You were served a plate of wasabi, pickled ginger and soy sauce that is not included with your salad. These items have a cost for me and that cost was passed on to you. No the costumer is...More
I admit I'm somewhat of a regular here for lunch, I particularily love the Wedge salad...but what really got me coming back was the Floating Pot Pie, if you haven't tried that, you must!! Today I had the Rachel and it sure was great...I ate...More
Great Lunch! We love the atmosphere and food! One of our favorites !! It has beer on tap and wine by the glass. Always very accommodating.?
We stopped here for lunch on our way through. We enjoyed our food - a panini and a kielbasa sandwich. A solid, tasty lunch. But by the end of our meal, however, we were completely in stitches over the almost comical level of apathy demonstrated...More
