Fine dining with fabulous food

After a day seeing the fall foliage and visiting Buttermilk Falls State Park in Ithaca we decided to dine at this charming and cozy restaurant. This was not our first visit to Taughannock Farms Inn and it won't be our last but it was a bit of a letdown from the previous year. Don't get me wrong... read more

This beautiful restaurant not only has impeccable service and outstanding food, the wonderful view enhances your overall experience. I love the concept of fixe prix menus and I especially love Taughannock's bread course of sweet breads. Genius!

We visit Taughannock Farms Inn several times a year. The restaurant opens in Spring and closes in late November. It's a special place for elegant food and service. A dinner for two with wine and gratuity costs $90 to $100. (Meals include appetizer, salad and scrumptious deserts!) This family owned and operated Inn usually has an owner on premises and... More

Went for dinner and it was obvious they have a huge following of older folks who have probably been coming here for a million years. The. Building is beautiful outside and the staff was very professional. The food seems very dated, right down to the oval dishes and kale garnish. The food looks very blah and monochromatic. The menu is... More

We were on an anniversary trip and stayed at the Inn, so we could not pass up dining at this restaurant! We made a reservation and were seated promptly. The views throughout the restaurant are beautiful especially with all the fall colors at peak. Our server, Abbey, took our drink order and told us the specials. A martini for me... More

This was the first time for my wife and I to visit the Inn, which I will rate separately from this restaurant review. We arrived on our 40th anniversary and were warmly greeted by Susan, the innkeeper, and her exceptional staff and were seated at a very nice table in the dining room. All the tables in the spacious dining... More

Fine service, reasonably priced all-included meals, and gorgeous setting added up to a memorable special-occasion dinner for my spouse and me. We recommend the cannelini and shiitakes in pesto broth and the bruschetta as a starter. One of us had the leafy greens salad, which was fine but nothing special; the other had the almost-too-light apple/cinnamon sorbet, which was OK... More

The Inn was...acceptable. As far as accommodations went, the room was tidy, not decorated in that horrid, mannered way B and Bs can be. Moreover, if you are going to Cornell for some reason and you want to get away, (not stay at the Statler, which is a perfectly fine place to be, especially when you have business at the... More

A must experience in a beautiful historic home. Had my wedding reception here in 1971. Always return for the exceptional service.
