My Family and I have been going there for Special dinners for many years under the previous owners, and were always pleased. This past Mother's Day we went, as per our norm, and were Highly Disappointed in Everything from the ugly redecorating of the restaurant to the watered down Mimosas and way overcooked food. They even ran out of some... More

Dear Valued Local guest, Mother's Day was our first day open to the public after 60 days to get ready for the season. We opened our doors to welcome over 400 people that day, and it sounds like we did not live up to your expectations. We understand that change can be hard, especially for those families that have enjoyed... More

We hosted a reception at the Inn following my father's memorial service in Ithaca. The hors d'oeuvres created by the Chef for our event were delicious and elegantly presented. Even the cheese and fruit platter had a special twist -- the warm, creamy white cheese spread on toasted French bread slices was particularly good. We also enjoyed the daily continental... More

The Taughannock Farms Inn is now "The Inn at Taughannock", being under new ownership since February, 2016. The Inn has always been a special building in a unique location overlooking Cayuga Lake. But in recent years it had started to look a bit "long in the tooth". With new owners, renovations to both the inside and the outside on the... More

The place is under new ownership. We were greeted at the door by owner who was welcoming. We had a romantic table for two with views of Cayuga Lake. We knew there would be change in menu. We miss the soups to nuts one price but found a few of the old favorites . My husband enjoyed the turkey dinner.... More

We went Father's Day and were looking forward to trying out the new menu and seeing what the new owner's had brought to the table, so to speak. When we entered the building the first thing you notice are large pictures of plans for expansion for the property. This is inappropriate and felt like an ad. Next, we were seated... More

Dear Lynn, Fathers day was only 30 days after opening, and I will say we have learned so much since fathers day over 2 months ago. Each and everyday we strive to provide five start quality and service to all our guests. Unfortunately, it sounds like we disappointed you and your family on this special day. We have recently brought... More

We've been dining at the Taughannock Farms Inn for over 25 years. We always loved the old menu where one could choose multiple courses for a set fee, but we were interested in seeing the new management's ideas, and we arrived with open minds. While there was some construction on the porch and walkways outside the inn, the dining room... More

My family has been patronizing the Taughannock Farms Inn since it opened 70 years ago. When I was a child, it was the fancy, go-to restaurant for any special occasion. The wait staff were all older women who recited the menu. For one price you got an appetizer, salad or soup, bread, entree, vegetables for the table, dessert, and beverage.... More

I almost didn't make a reservation because of my frustration with the phone system. When you call at 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon you don't expect to get a voice message indicating that it may be 24 hours before someone returns your call. Granted, a young woman did return my call promptly and she indicated that she was on another... More

I have dined at the inn 5 times since the new owner has taken charge. The new menu is superb. It is a menu with many choices that will satisfy any diner. I have ordered lobster, scallops, the Kobe burger and the Pappardelle De Castelli. Each dish was outstanding. The truffle fries, which comes with the burger, are stand alone.... More

Description
The Taughannock Farms Inn is under NEW ownership as of 2016. The dining rooms have received a much-needed interior design upgrades, blending traditional influences with modern touches. Hosting the best views of Cayuga Lake, many will enjoy the quality made-to-order cuisine. Serving classical American food with Mediterranean influences, the owners have included several dishes at a price point anyone can afford.
