I read about this place somewhere online that it was pretty good so I decided to give it a try. It is an old fashioned diner type place. As soon as I walked in the guy cooking the hot dogs was dripping with sweat and had a towel over his head to absorb his moisture. I sat at the counter... More

Local diner experience. Inside is typical old fashioned diner with fun atmosphere. Tried the miniature hotdogs loaded with onion, mustard and chili. $95 each. Basically 3 mini dogs would be 1 normal size in my view. Canned soda for drink choices. Staff very friendly. Took our friend's picture without complaint. Quick fun lunch. Staff was very friendly with some children... More

Food is always good, this is a cheap place to go and get a bunch of dogs to eat. I also like the hamburgers as well.

A young couple visited this weekend from Tarrytown and they had read about "hipster" Troy, the Brooklyn of Upstate New York. They wanted to see the sights. Okay, you want to see the real Troy? Then a visit to Famous Lunch, established in 1932 and a Troy institution is a must. They loved it! The Famous Lunch hot dogs, with Zippy... More

There are several dog places around with Greek sauce, but this one has some secret flavored, awe summmmm! On top of that its my new breakfast sandwich stop! I call ahead and pick them up on a regular basis? The owner is cooking and a great guy, an RPI graduate to boot! Great spot, visit this one!

This place has been here forever and it looks like it too! LOL... They have a nice special for like $6 with tax and tip which includes 4 tiny little hot dogs with whatever toppings you want such as mustard, onions, chili, etc...and you get a nice soda or milk chocolate from the machine. It is a small place located... More

Stopped here with husband since we've had gus' hot dogs many times. OK... Don't go at main meal times... Not enough tables. We had the dogs, cheese burger and fries. On par with gus' and Jack's and fries were very good. When you go in, find a table and then let one of the guys at the counter know your... More

Seriously the sauce has such a distinctive taste, its just a must try. Go by and just look at the line at lunch, there has to be a reason. But its not just the dogs, breakfast the place is just as busy. A great spot for an inexpensive pkate of eggs or dogs.

This lunchroom style restaurant is noted for it's small hot dogs, topped in a steamed bun with meat sauce, onions and mustard. In my younger days I could eat 7 or 8 of them, but they were a dime back in the 50's. A great food experience for all.

Great authentic food, dirt cheap, lots of character. This place feels like a step back in time to the 1950s, loads of fun
