Stopped here before dinner reservations elsewhere and really liked the place and atmosphere. It really is like a barn, completely wooden interior and a nice, wood bar. There's table seating as well as the bar and there's also a stage for live entertainment (it was Monday at 5pm so no live music) and there's a full menu including pizza which can be called in for takeout. The mozzarella sticks were good, beer was cold, and our bartender was nice so I'm not sure what else we could ask for.

We stopped in for lunch. Only a few people there and most were drinking, not eating. Food was very good. I had the pastrami reuben melt with chips and macaroni salad. My wife had the turkey club and subbed the sweet potato fries. The food was really good. Service was very good. The name rustic barn fits the place pretty well.

We went on a Thursday afternoon and found ourselves to be the only ones there. There were several options for both food and drink. Portions were big. Everyone enjoyed their food, especially the pulled pork.

This was are 1st time at the rustic barn on sat the 27 our server was a young lady named Maddy the place was packed and she never missed a beat how she did is beyond me ? Been around for 66 years and never had a waitress so efficient ,

We hosted my son's rehearsal dinner at the Rustic Barn. Jodi made the process so easy. Our dinner was a buffet: Caesar salad, rolls, coleslaw, garlic mashed, pulled pork, chicken franchise, macaroni and cheese, and a veggie platter for an appetizer. Also included soda, coffee, and tea. We added on beer and wine. We brought our own desserts. Choice of linen colors was included, as was gratuity.
Everything was very good, the chicken was outstanding. The service was wonderful, gracious and attentive.
We had access to the room early in the day for decorating and were offered availability the day before!
I'd love to have the ability to give the
Rustic Barn a 4 1/2 star. Why can't I do that??
The ONLY downfall to the private banquet room was the trek to the bathroom on another floor. Made it difficult for seniors and a guest on crutches.
Would highly recommend Rustic Barn for your private event!

I'm giving this 2 stars because the fries were delicious. My fiance and i stopped for lunch at about 1230, 1pm on a Wednesday. No customers were there. I ordered the bbq sampler platter and he ordered the bacon cheese burger. We started with mozzarella sticks and each had a beer. Although the bbq was ok there was little smoke ring and quite a bit of fat on the brisket and everything was smothered in sauce. His burger was really lacking. The patty itself was much smaller then the bun. He ordered medium rare and it was well done. They didn't have French onion soup... how that happens i don't know. And to add insult to injury, our bill came to $70+ FOR LUNCH!! Written on it was a note that tips have to be paid in cash, not by card. We left the little cash we had on us and left disappointed. I know it's a bar but that was ridiculous. I guess if we were drinking heavily we wouldn't have noticed the rip off.

This is just a bar. Dark and no atmosphere but the staff is very friendly. The fried chicken is the best north of the Masón Dixon: fresh and perfectly fried. Not greasy or over spiced. The onion rings and French onion soup were very bland but the pizza and wings rival other good places in Troy area. Worth a visit. Come for the drinks and music too.

Hello,
I am confused with no atmosphere, you must have come on a slow day. We have a very lively atmosphere live music Thursday-Sundays and Trivia on Wednesdays. We are actually a Pub and Live Music Venue. Almost everything on our menu is Homemade and we smoke our meat on premises. I appreciate the nice things you said about our food, and hope you come back on a more lively day.

GREAT place for live music! Jody and Jason have really been booking awesome bands. Great place for a meal, the pizza is fantastic, always enjoy ourselves whenever we visit. The bar is well stocked with a nice variety of craft beers and plenty of seating is available.

There was a band playing at 8, we got there at 7. They wanted to charge us a cover but we explained that we were only there for dinner and that we would be gone by 8. Service was slow, food was mediocre, they had no desserts left for the day. I don't think that we will be back.

Hello,
I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. We do charge a cover charge if staying and or are there for the band. You were not charged a cover, correct? Its very rare we run out of desserts and we always have deep fried Oreos with ice cream. I hope you give us another shot, it must have been an off night. My sincere apologizes, Jody Brenenstuhl

We got 2 12 cut pizzas and 50 wings here over the weekend for a party. Food was just excellent. The wings were absolutely awesome! I've eaten there before - it's not a place I like for dine-in. But if you're in the area order for take-out. The deliver only 3 days a week (Thurs, Fri, Sat). I wish they did delivery all week. I've tried their pulled pork topped potato skins before and they are great too. Oh ... just a note ... the 4 and 8 cut pizzas are round but 12 cut is rectangle. I prefer the circle (seems to be crispier), but rectangle is fine too. Crust is a little on the thicker side, but sauce and cheese taste really good.

Hello,
I am so sorry you feel this way. We have a professional cleaning company come in twice a week. We dim the lighting at night especially when there is a band. Can you please tell me what you had to eat so I can correct the problem. We make almost everything from scratch and pride ourselves on great customer service. Thank you, Jody

I was actually surprised by how good this was. We went for lunch. Good homemade salads and the fries were not the generic personality-less ones. The best surprise was the chocolate cake. OMFG. I have wanted good cake for months. This was what I was waiting for!

Once we received our food, it actually wasn't too bad. It basically took 1 full hour to receive our order even though we were maybe 10 people in total in the pub who ordered food. And we are talking about fast food orders like chicken wings, club sandwich, fries, etc. First time going there and the last time. Only reason I don't rate it lower than a "3" is because the quality of the food was ok.

I am so sorry the waitress / bartender should have told you that it takes 20 minutes for chicken wings. We do not precook our wings, which makes them really good but takes longer. We have hired more help so our service is much better now. Hope you give us another try.

Not a meat eater, so I can only comment on the pizza which is quite good..usually we just go to hear bands and drink, but tonight we were there for the weekly Open Mic and ordered pizza...very good! Friendly service. Lots of different kind of beers. Nice dance area.

Went here because I saw it on Groupon and it was near where my daughter lives. We arrived at 2:30, and the place was totally empty except for the very nice waitress. Our party (me, my daughter, and two young grandsons) really enjoyed the food. We started with the Piggy Back Tater Skins. I had BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich with fries and cole slaw. Daughter had BBQ Sampler Platter. The 10-year-old grandson had the Fish & Chips, and the 2-1/2-year-old had a 4-Cut Cheese Pizza. Everybody was pleased. They had a great assortment of beer on tap. I tried something new, a Troegs Java Head Stout. It is a very rustic place, and set up for karaoke and live bands. We would definitely go back.
