Found this gem last night across from The Hanger. Bartender was extremely friendly even though the place was busy. Great selection on tap. Ran into friends here who told us they dine here every Saturday. Sat next to tonight's bands and had dinner. Food was very good. My only thought was they could have sliced my corned beef thinner, for... More

A Birthday lunch for my Sister. She has been going to the Ale House for 30 years and chose it for her celebration. When we pulled up out front I was not sure but once inside we found very friendly folks and great food. Hard cider, margarita straight up with salt, homemade pea soup, hand prepared hamburgers (not frozen), fries... More

The seating area is very welcoming and away from the bar which is nice. The waitresses are always friendly and attentive. I can never turn down the wings, they're certainly a must try!

Over the years, the Ale House on River St has always been a favorite of mine. If you're looking for ambiance, go someplace else. If you're looking for great food at a reasonable price, the Ale House is the place. In my opinion, they've got the BEST burger in the city. I hate hamburger that's been frozen, but the Ale... More

After stopping at 3 different "Irish" restaurants on St. Patrick's Day for corned beef and cabbage, all which had 'run out' we stopped at the Ale House. The crowd was lively, the bar and seating area busy. We were lucky to grab the last open table and ordered 4 corned beef dinners. The portions were huge and delicious. A huge... More

The Ale House is the Ale House. It is not a boutique and certainly doesn't pretend to be. In fact the Ale House does not pretend PERIOD! Some might say it looks like a bit of a dive, but it is a friendly place with a good draft beer selection, good bar food and a great juke box. Nothing pretentious,... More

About 3 years, a co-worker of mine retired. We decided to stay in touch by starting a monthly Guy Night Out (GNO) to enjoy decadent pub food and craft beer. We were going to change venues every month and we did try that, but came to the undeniable conclusion that the Ale House was not to be beat. Now the... More

The Ale House is the best place for wings, ribs and craft beers. Is our go to place for great wings and lite fare. Love their sweet potatoe fries and regular fries.

Kind and friendly staff. Good beer selection, okay wings. I was not a fan of the food, bland and boring. The staff was a 5, food was a 2.
