I visited this restaurant on the way back from Quebec. The blue lighting of some of the areas was very cool. I had the honey walnut shrimp, and it was very good, and then I had the green tea ice cream, which was also very good. The service was very good, but the restroom had a minor problem. It is that the motion detector on the lights is really sensitive, and if it detects no motion, it turns the lights in the bathroom off in about a minute or two. Aside from that, it was a very good experience.

Found this place while traveling through the area. The food was fabulous. I am from New Jersey and the Asian food here is nothing like the take out food from NJ. Real chunks of pork in the pork fried rice. The sushi was delicious. The octopus salad had real pieces of octopus. All of the dishes were great. A place for authentic Asian food.

Very snack and family style restaurant with very good genuine Taiwanese cuisine. We ordered the favorite dish, Tung Po pork, which was succulent and sweet as it should be and very tender braided pork cubes on Chinese greens. We also posted a new dish we have not tried before, the pig kidneys in mixed vegetables. It was out group favorite this time and everybody clamoring about the flavor and the excellent preparation done for the kidney. We also ordered a shredded pork in Beijing sauce and a Szechuan string beans sauteed.
All the dishes were excellently prepared and tasting. The only complaint add the small portions of each dish. We all ate to our hearts' content!! We will return for sure again!

I've only ordered takeout from here during the lunch hour, but the lunch special is great (two rolls, soup or salad for $8)! My favorites are the Tokyo Roll, California (simple, but they do a good job) and the Peanut Avocado --yum!!!

We got takeout from here. The menu was surprisingly varied. Lots of unusual Chinese dishes from different regions. Dan Dan Noodles were great and other items we tried were very good.

I felt good about the Red and Blue immediately after walking in the door -- many RPI Asian students smiling and enjoying the food. I, too, was not disappointed. My shredded pork with garlic sauce and mushroom soup was very good. I was thrilled to finally find such a good Asian restaurant in Troy, since several others I've tried just didn't do it for one reason or another.

A few months ago, I went with my mother and a friend who brought along a friend of his who had lived in China as a child. He suggested trying a hot pot and we followed along with his recommendation. He ordered and we ended up with a variety of raw meats and fish and vegetable items which we had to dip into the hot broth which was kept simmering on burners in the middle of the table. We used chopsticks to dip the bite sized bits into the hot broth to cook and as I am fairly inept with chopsticks, I lost more than one item into the broth. We were lucky to have someone in our group who was very familiar with this food and could explain the process and also identify some of the items that I could not recognize, but I imagine this would be fun for anyone with a sense of adventure.

Inexpensive but very delicious Asian food (mix of Japanese and Chinese dishes). Very vegetarian friendly. I particularly like their peanut-avocado vegetarian sushi roll. They also deliver, we ate in the restaurant one night and ordered in to our nearby hotel another night.

Delicious Chinese and Japanese food in Troy! Good selection of sushi. Excellent tofu! Delicious tempura. Prompt service. They have some stranger food (toon) along with things that are more familiar to the typical diner. Very varied selection of food.

I like going to this restaurant because it reminds me of the Szechuan and Hunan dishes I have eaten in China. You can get foods you don't normally find in local Chinese restaurants like duck blood and pork intestines. Their chili sauces are nice and spicy with generous use of chili peppers and Szechuan peppercorns. Of course they serve many other dishes as other reviewers have described but I like to eat there for the real authentic Chinese cuisine. I always order lots of food so I can take some home for another meal or two!

We went to Karaoke last night.
Pros: Audio system is good.
Cons: Very expensive! Before 10PM it is 23$ per hour and after 10PM it's 46$ per hour for small room.
Greedy: We ordered for one hour, but they don't remind us when it reaches one hour.
We ended up with 2 hour 15 minutes, but they charge us 2.5 hours.
A 15% tip was automatically added, but there is almost no service provided.
We ended up with about 115$ for 2 hour 15 minutes Karaoke (we started at about 9PM).

When you pull up to Red & Blue Sushi, you really wouldn't expect to find good cuisine. We were one of the only tables in the restaurant at around 7:30pm, and found the service to be acceptable and friendly. The menu has many choices from a range of food to sushi, japanese, and chinese meals. I had a very delicious Maki combo and the sushi was fresh and well portioned. Another person at our table enjoyed fresh fried rice. At the time, there was a very good Groupon deal. We will definitely be returning.
