On a whim my wife and I went to Panzur for dinner on a recent Wednesday evening. We had scanned the menu on line so were pretty sure we knew what to expect. The surprise came when we learned that Wednesday was "family meal" night and they only served a few limited tapas from the menu and one family style... More

On Weds, Panzur serves family meal. The fish and chips were probably one of the best fish and chips meals I had.. Fish was flaky, not greasy, Fries had a liberal amount of shaved Parmesan cheese on them. And there was a very nice fresh pea and garlic smear on the plate. Excellent specialty cocktails. I recommend the Brexit

We were "guests" of our daughter - a late M/F day meal, along with our grandson age 12, who had limited food options. We were very pleased with nearly all of the tapas and one main dish; the exception: for grandson, there was only one option, a steak "16 0z" priced at $40. We were sharing everything, so we thought... More

My husband and I frequently dine at Panzur, in the bucolic town of Tivoli, NY. Chef Rei creates interesting menus using locally sourced meats, vegetables, fruits and cheeses. The emphasis is on Spanish and South American food, but he is an adventurous and eclectic chef who is constantly updating and improving his food. Wednesday is family night, when he creates... More

OK, I make Paellas but these guys do one better. We had a large group and got wonderful service and food that even some of the foodies we asking 'how'd you do this'. Clearly the best place in the area........Also try the chicken, which they make in an unusual way, or the many apps.

We ate at Panzur once before and food and service were good. This time it started badly and ended worse. The chair was wobbly - chair at the next table no better. Waitress said we would need to wait 15 minutes for Spanish flat bread with no bacon. After 30 minutes it arrived - with bacon. Entrees were not served... More

Very interesting menus, highlight is often the coca (flatbread). But service is inconsistent, and often quite slow (even if you warn them of a time constraint). The problem is that the food can be great...or not. And it isn't always easy to know which you will get. So on each of 3 or 4 visits, we got hits and misses.

This review is way overdue, as we have been to this restaurant around a dozen times, as a couple, with friends and with our 2 young boys(mostly on family night). The chef here is absolutely amazing. Every time we eat here there are new, unexpected flavors that we get; and thats saying a lot as we have eaten in many... More

Yesterday, Sunday, Panzur was closed for a cooking class that I participated in. What a treat from the coto and jambon to start, wine along the way, and dinner that we helped prep, of grilled, boned chicken, seasoned, ribeye steaks, branzino fillets, a root vegetable salad, green salad, salsa verde, donut holes for dessert and more wine. Chef Rei Peraza... More
