I was so looking forward to a gastro pub-like experience, but it was not in the cards. My husbands' beer battered haddock was tasty, but my Thai salad was awful. The chicken was hard to cut and gristly. The dressing was not very good, and the lettuce was in big chunks. I did not finish it, and I usually always... More

Downstairs dining, Slo Mo IPA was a great beer. We had Fish tacos, and the steak and cheese.. Food and service were both excellent.. I recommend this restaurant.

This was clearly a popular place and based on the service and food it's easy to see why. The menu is rather eclectic, offering something for every one. I had their version of a Cobb salad and the greens and dressing were fresh and tasty. They have an excellent selection of craft beers I would recommend the Creme ale.

We were stopping in Syracuse for the night and I just couldn't take another fast food meal. The other reviews on trip advisor are not lying - this place was just what we needed. It forced us out of our office park and into a quaint little area of shops and restaurants in downtown Syracuse. The restaurant was busy (Friday... More

I found this one using Trip Advisor. We were there for lunch so getting street parking was not an issue. $2.50 for Two Hours. Finding the entrance is a challenge. Look for the Neon Sign and follow the stairs down to the basement level, below street level, and enter. We chose to eat at the bar. Barmaid was preoccupied and... More

We stopped in on a Saturday night for dinner. We were quickly seated, but waited 15 minutes before a server showed up to take our drink order. Nice Beer selection and I enjoyed my Andouille PO'BOY. I would return if back in Syracuse.

We went on the Friday of the 4th of July weekend. An hour wait for one of the outdoor tables (we'll sit there eventually!) but we were seated immediately inside. Our seafood burrito w/ sweet potato fries & bowl of gumbo were excellent. The Empire Strikes Bock was average but the Cream Ale was as good as ever. Service was... More

A group of six of us had a lovely beer around the bar last night. There is a great variety of beer. They had run out of the one we wanted but there were plenty to choose from!

Nothing too amazing here. Just standard bar type food and some local brews. I can't say I loved my beer but I had a good enough time.

Thank Jennifer W

Empire Brewing Company is a contemporary downtown bar and grill with a brewery on the premises. Here, we aspire to provide customers with the best food and libation available by utilizing fresh locally sourced ingredients. Whether it is vegetables and herbs grown in our garden, hops grown by our brewer, locally raised grass-fed Angus beef, or original music performed by our friends, we give our patrons an experience that can only be had at Empire Brewing Company.

The moderately priced and eclectic food menu is complemented by a diverse selection of hand-crafted ales and lagers. In addition to beer, Empire offers cocktails and a large selection of wine.

The atmosphere is casual and festive. The brewing facility is housed in a glass-enclosed work area which provides a view of the massive copper and stainless steel brewing vessels. The food is prepared in a handsome open-performance kitchen allowing patrons visibility of the chef and his assistants.

The interior decor highlights the industrial elements of the microbrewery, the drama of the performance kitchen, and the architectural nuances of the building. The understated design - featuring exposed brick walls, wood beams, and columns - pays homage to the brewing tradition and the pre-existing architecture. With clarity the aim and materials and ambient lighting the accent, a warm and inviting environment has been created for customers to enjoy the music, food, and beverages.
