This is a very overpriced restaurant for very underwhelming food. I would definitely not recommend it.

Good beer choices, lots of local fare. The Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich is excellent. Can't tell you how hot it was because I thought it was perfect, not too hot but husband thought it was tasty but hot. Son had Brussel Sprouts and Poutine which...he said were excellent. Ordering at the bar is very simple and service was quick.More
Just down the street from Clinton Square. Plenty of beers to choose from, just look at the massive chalkboard on the wall for updates. Laid back atmosphere, more a bar than a restaurant. Find your own table, go to the kitchen window to order food...and the bar for your beers. Food is delivered to your table. Good burgers. Not a great spot to take the little ones. Recommend!More
Awesome food with no frills. This hidden gem is no fine dining but delivers with very tasty, simple food and a variety of fresh brews. They have a wall updating their available drafts. You get a menu and order from the order window and they...deliver your order to you at your table. Some small and larger tables and can get very noisy. I ordered the sirloin burger, battered fries, side salad and glazed carrots. Burger was tasty and bun was toasted. Fries were crispy and the salad and carrots were fresh. Try the Buffalo cauliflower bites, you won't be disappointed. Very good overall and I will definitely be back to this place the next time I'm in Syracuse!!More
Cold burger, told the kitchen usually takes over a half hour to get food out. So my food took a while and was cold.
The bartender shorted me on change. There was a problem in the kitchen as we watched parties who ordered after us get their food, eat and leave. When the food finally came, it was cold. The eggs and biscuit were not as ordered. By that...time we had to get on the road, so we choked down a few bites and left—never to return. Syracuse has some decent brunch places. This is not one of them.More
For the beer lover in all of us! There’s a beer there for every taste. They also serve a pretty varied menu of pub food. They accommodated our large group easily and without a fuss. Loved the English pub atmosphere and the prices were very...reasonable too! I’ll be back on my next trip.More
We stopped on a Sunday late evening and found plenty of seats. The place has no waiters so you place the order and then they will bring the food to our table. Then for drinks you must order and pick up at the bar. The...location in Syracuse is a great one, near a very nice plaza. The food was excellent. Everyone had different burgers and everyone was happy. The beer selection is great. The decor of the place is modern and warm. Great place to visit.More
My daughter found this place, as she is into craft beer and the food ratings are high. Their beer and food did not disappoint. The menu is small but eclectic, not like anything you have seen. She got a goat cheese and roasted beet salad...and it was delicious. I got a chicken salad sandwich with a side salad. It was very unique and very good. We will definitely go back if we are ever in the city again. Highly recommend!More
Syracuse, New York is probably best known for its university but as I learned when I visited here in support of my Great Beer Now beer blog, Syracuse is also a good place to visit for beer and food. You just need advice on the...best places to visit and one that I recommend highly is The Evergreen. I visited The Evergreen for lunch with the wife and we seated ourselves at the bar, ready to order food and beverages. Beer is in wide abundance at The Evergreen and this was evident both from the taps behind the bar to the large display of beers on tap, located on the back wall. The display on the wall shows the beer name, state where it is brewed, brewery that makes it, alcohol level, and serving size. The only thing lacking on this display is that it doesn’t indicate the style. Unless the style is already part of the beer’s name, you won’t know and will have to ask. I wanted to try some local brew so I ordered flight samplers. I love the wide variety of beer options served here and like I said, the beer selection is better than average and is easily one of the establishment’s strong points. But there is more here than just beer. The full-service bar can mix up just about anything you like from the more commonplace cocktails to the more exotic. Just ask, and you shall receive. With the food, we ordered a variety of options and found the items fabulous. I loved my burger and side of bean soup and the appetizer consisting of loaded fries was amazing as well. The only problem for me is that, with so much food and beer, I filled up too quickly and couldn’t finish everything. I hate to leave food on the table, but since I was traveling, I couldn’t take anything with me. I have a hearty appetite so anytime I can eat this much and end up having to stop because I’m too full, it really says something about the quality of the food. It takes a lot to get me this full, but everything was so amazing, I couldn’t stop until my stomach demanded I do so. The interior of The Evergreen tends toward the conservative side, with wooden tables and chairs and nothing that really grabs your attention on the walls or anyplace else. Suffice it to say that the food and beer are the true stars of the show at The Evergreen and considering the high quality of everything I tried, and the amazing service, this establishment earns an easy five star rating.More
