Food was good but I can get good food a lot of places. $50 Steak that comes with nothing but bread unless you spend more. Everything is expensive from drinks to french fries. I can go out to eat twice for the price of going...there once.More

If you want a Steakhouse this isn’t it. Longhorns knocks this place off the list. Over priced mediocre food at best.

Don’t order anything but steak! While the steak was delicious, the sea bass, lobster Mac and cheese, and hash browns were all huge disappointments. The lobster Mac was baked, dried out penne pasta with a chunky and watery cheese sauce. We had one bite and...when we told the waitress it was crunchy and inedible, she still charged us $18!! What a horrific experience my family and I endured. The staff was snotty and could care less about providing quality service for customers which impacted our experience heavily. Our server messed up our orders. I received the wrong cut of steak and the same thing...happened to another person at my table. And might I add that it took 2 hours to get our dinner because our waitress didn’t even put in the order! There was no manager on duty to address any issues. Everything needs to go through the owner who wasn’t even at the restaurant either. There was another family that was so fed up with the very bad staff and order screwups that they left after their appetizers. The food really is not worth its price. The steaks are bland and lack seasoning. If you want a good steak worth your money in downtown Syracuse, take your business somewhere else like The York or Citronelle, both just blocks away in armory square. This restaurant is one I highly recommended avoiding. They’re not worthy of my money or anyone else’s. What a horrible time. They should be embarrassed at how rude they were and how much business they have already lost from multiple individuals word of mouth.More

We went to Prime on SU's graduation weekend. We made our reservation well in advance and although the place was crowded it wasn't crazy. We found the food good and the prices were reasonable for a high end steakhouse. Our service however was excellent. We...had a very nice meal and we would not hesitate to return here in the future.More

Great steak [and everyone in the party said the same] but extremely pricey. Appetizers were great also. Uncomfortable seating though. Wooden chairs on their last leg and we were seated at an oddly situated table - just outside the kitchen and just in front of...the wine closet. Should really rethink that spot for guest seating.More

We were downtown for a musical. We had reservations at a different restaurant but they lost our reservation so we couldn’t eat there. Prime was able to accommodate us at the last minute. The waitress was so attentive. She knew we were constrained for time....The food was excellent all around. It is located in a historic building and is a nice setting for a fine steak house.More

I have been here several times. I like that they are consistent and that the food is of high quality. The portions are huge so bring an appetite. Every time we travel up to Syracuse to visit our son this is the place we go...to for dinner. Great service and great food.More

We stopped here because it was suggested. The food was exceptionally good. People locally compared it to Ruths Chris but it was much more affordable and the portions were much larger

Decent atmosphere in rooms looking like “cellars”,probably for Sicilian memories. Very good seafood entrees (scallops, lobsters, calamari) and steaks (try cowboy steak). Good wines. Modest desserts. Decent service, waiters a little bit annoyed waiting to close fast the restaurant.

My husband and I had a very disappointing meal at the new Prime Steak House in Victory, NY. which we understand is owned by this Syracuse restaurant. We both had a petite cut which was not prime quality. Maybe that was the problem, but not...much better than a strip steak. My husband's Caesar salad romaine lettuce was pale like Iceberg. There were was nothing on it but dressing. No croutons, no Parmesan or anchovies. The bread they served was a pretzel and/or cranberry roll/bread. I think they were warmed up, not fresh. We did not eat the bread and brought it home. Even though it was in a sealed container, they were hard as rocks the next day.More
