Wandered in while taking care of business at City Hall. One of my few best spur-of-the-moment decisions! Great diner food, good prices, great coffee. ( I was really there before May 2016)

This small diner is tucked away in the shadow of city hall on Water Street. We stopped here for an early lunch, but chose one of the all-day breakfasts from the menu. They have specials every day. The ham and eggs were very good, and not cheap deli ham. The diner is small and cozy and handy to walk to... More

We stopped on our way to the Erie Canal Museum. The owner and waitress were both very friendly and attentive. The food was okay. The home fries were pretty greasy, bacon was very crisp, coffee not so good, eggs & toast were fine. It wasn't crowded.

I stopped here for a cup of coffee and something lite after visiting the Erie Canal Museum. I was warmly welcomed and not one bit put off for only ordering coffee and an English muffin. The waitress was friendly and there was no fuss or anything but a nice break before continuing to travel.
