My wife and I stopped for dinner at Kitty Hoynes on a Saturday night in July. Great atmosphere and traditional Irish Bar. We had the Ruben fritters for an appetizer since we saw them on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. They were quite tasty, but served with a honey mustard sauce rather than the typical thousand island dressing. My wife got... More

Fun stop and convenient to the hotel we stayed in across the street. Lots of choices and accommodating to gluten free members of our group. Lamb sliders were fabulous. Lots of Irish beverages to try and a lively and charming place.

This place is great! Relaxed, fun, great food and drinks. We had traditional fish and chips and the Irish Meatloaf which was a double size portion with mashed potatoes. Very tasty along with two very cold beers. Our server was very attentive yet unobtrusive. As a finishing touch your server will bring you and Irish Cream with your check. Be... More

Excellent and plenty of gluten free choices! Kids enjoyed the food especially the ice cream at the end of the kids meal. Hubby had the meat loaf and loved it.

I tend to enjoy a great deal of pints in many varied pubs throughout my travels... (The liver and I have a love hate relationship)... Once a year we make the journey to Syracuse from Maryland to see my girlfriends sister. I typically say a quick hello and its out the door to Kitty's. The pub is authentic, the staff... More

In the spring of 2015, we drove to Syracuse ( from Canada) to join a food tasting tour. One of the sample foods that we tasted came from Kitty Hoynes Pub and it was cabbage with specially made pancakes. We all loved the dish and vowed to return to Syracuse in order to dine at Kitty Hoynes. We returned on... More

Shortly after we sat down, the fellow at the end of the bar noticed we came from the hotel across the street, and asked if we came because we could "see the mother ship through the curtains." Why yes, we did. The bartender was great. The people very friendly. We didn't eat the food. Not sure about that, so won't... More

Nothing special, merely adequate. Beer and food selections leave much to be desired, and are not worth being harassed by panhandlers. Will not be repeating this experience.

The first thing I noticed is that the restaurant is bigger on the inside than it appears. We arrived around 7 on a Saturday night and were seated fairly quickly. Three of us ordered sodas, all of which arrived flat and were quickly replaced. The food was good. The kids ordered fish and chips. Both received generous portions of fish.... More
