When we have passed through Syracuse over the last seven or eight years we have often stopped at the Clam Bar in North Syracuse This place is always busy - Monday nights or Saturday nights it doesn't seem to matter. The Clam Bar is a bit of a time capsule - the crowded atmosphere is a return to the 50s.... More

Nice little local bar and restaurant. The food was good. We especially liked the raw clams and broiled scallops. Good happy hour specials. The bartenders knew all the locals by name. Homey atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

We have visited this restaurant for over 25 yrs. Never had a bad meal. Best sea food in upstate N.Y. Haddock is their specialty. Light and flakey with all kinds of toppings. Great fresh salads and baked potatoes. Scallops are great and steamed clams with garlic and wine sauce are delicious. It is cute inside but is small. Try to... More

We saw an ad for this in our Holiday In Express hotel directory and it was only 5 minutes away. It is advertised as the "biggest little place in Syracuse". So glad we went. It is small and busy, service was great. My husband ordered linguine and clams, white sauce, his favorite, and there were more clams than we have... More

A wonderful way to end long day on road with our dog, in this pet friendly and people friendly restaurant, with comfortable outdoor seating. Good draft beer and wine selection and warm funny bartender. Best clam chowder ever! Prices are very reasonable. I love this low key place where anyone can come and sit awhile and recover from a hectic... More

First and last experience at this place. Ordered the broiled seafood platter. Clams were horrible and waitress was rude. We were the only ones sitting outside today for an early dinner at 4pm. Waitress clearly hates working here and took it out on us. Waitress only came outside to serve food. Had to go inside to request water, our check... More

Well it's been almost 4 years since we were here last. Glad we came back - Our waitress Karri -was awesome - we didn't lack for anything. My wife had the shrimp and scallop in lobster sauce and I had the Prime Rib. Both were excellent. I would give 5 stars except for... the older Blond lady sitting at the... More

We arrived at 4:45 and were seated in the back at a cozy high top table. Wait time was about 5 minutes. The waitress was friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in our good experience. I ordered the charbroiled salmon, wild rice and a salad. Frankly, there is no better place in Syracuse for fish. My meal was excellent. The Clam... More

Seemed to be a local hang out kind of place. From the outside you might turn away. Inside is small but the food was really good. I got cup of clam chowder and a blacken grouper sandwich. Service was fast and friendly. I would stop here again.
