Just returned from eating dinner at the Clam Bar. Being a Saturday night it was busy . After a short wait we were seated in a back area just two tables so totally missing the bar atmosphere and vibe. But it got worse from that point on, we were soon to discover this was staff work alley, staff coming and... More

I am sorry for your inconvenience. One of the struggle we commonly run into is space. It's a very busy place without much storage. We are in a location that we are unable to build on to due to code enforcement. We always try to appease our customers as to where they want to sit. I have talked to my... More

Travelling up I-81 we stopped in Syracuse for lunch. Not much to look at outside but the food was very good. Will return on our next trip

We recently dropped off our daughter at SU and one night we had dinner here and it was great! Delicious clams, chowder. etc. I wish that we could have gone again but the visit was short. We will return!

We have been comimg here for 8 yrs or more. Not had a bad meal. Yes once had an overdone baked potato but have done that at home myself! Husband loves the lobster and/or provincial clams. I try to mix it up. We don't bother waiting for a table if room is available at the bar. Tonight I had appetizer... More

We were told by our hotel that we absolutely had to go to the Clam Bar, so we did. First off, the place is run down. We were seated in a booth where the seats had no padding left which had us sink lower only making the table feel higher. Wait staff need a lesson on how to dress and... More

The Clam Bar is awesome. The clams in any form are the most tasty you will ever have. It has been around for awhile and the bartenders know everybody. It looks like a dive and is crowded inside, but it is one of the best places in Syracuse to eat seafood.

This place has been around for years. It is not the brightest place in the world, carpeting is dingy and light is dim. Food and Hospitality is fresh and great. I believe the hostess is the owner's wife. Very nice and attentive. The quarters are bit tight but the food makes it worthwhile. They always are busy.

We were traveling through and wanted something other than a franchise restaurant. This place is old and a little dingy but their food and service more than make up for it. My husband had the fish and chips- he said it was really good and the chips were especially fantastic. I had snow crab legs and they were fresh and... More
