This was my first trip to alto. 3 of us headed there Sunday night. We were quickly seated and the waiter took our drink order. We started with nacho chips with salsa and quac. The chips and quac was great. The salsa was so fresh and it was excellent. Our dinners came out a little slow but not too bad.... More

We have family in Syracuse. We love to go there because the have great food, drinks, and something for everyone in the family from vegans to paleo and everything in between! It has expanded over the years but maintains its attention to detail and inventive menu.

Interesting collection of flavors in all dishes. Great for lunch, brunch or dinner. No room for waiting for table!

Mexican and pizza does not go together well but Alto Cinco has changed that defination. The vegiie and chicken pizza fantabulous. My friends used to drive from Albany just for eating the pizza here. The place is small but dont be deceived by it. It serves really awesome food Definitely worth a try. Please visit

So I went with my family to alto cinco on a Thursday for lunch and there was no wait. Our waitress was good and the food came out relatively fast. Everything we ordered we loved. I got and would recommend the Jerk Chicken burrito. Not a very big restaurante so I would expect a wait on a Friday or Saturday... More

Food is always good, but don't plan on having much room to dine in a leisure environment. Plan on waiting on a Friday or Saturday for dinner.

When I asked for chips and salsa, the bearded bartender looked at me with great disdain, then screwed up his face and I took that to mean this restaurant wasn't like your typical Mexican place. My chicken burrito was big and bland, and with no salsa, sorely lacking. Meh.

Had a nice brunch with friends. Burritos and drinks made for a nice start of the day. Only issue was the service is SLOW! Our food took forever to be served and the wait staff seems out of it. If you are in a rush... Go somewhere else. Ever since they expanded their place, seems like it got worse.

We dropped in for a late breakfast and really enjoyed ourselves. I found the Huevos Rancheros incredible, bursting with flavor from all the fresh ingredients. My wife had a breakfast burrito that was packed with tons of delicious stuff, so flavorful! There's not a lot of room for seating and since its located in the heart of the University district...
