Since moving to syracuse, alto quickly became, and remains, a strong favorite. Delicious guac, big burritos, perfect quesadillas, and the best catfish. Great value and cool vibe. Good and unique wine and beer selection.

I was visiting Syracuse and a friend and I ended up here. Wow. I ordered chicken tacos and they were the best tacos I have ever eaten! They shred the chicken so it was so pleasant to eat (hard to explain) but it was all so delish. My friend had the California burrito and she was having an orgasm over... More

Visited son from out of town. Came here for dinner. Restaurant was busy on a Friday night. Arrived at 9 and waited nearly 40 minutes to be seated. There is a bar you can wait until served. Initially, we ordered chips and salsa ($5). The salsa came out as thick chopped tomatoes and did not look like typical salsa. We... More

After sitting through an 8 hour meeting, the remaining attendees needed a nice dinner in downtown Syracuse. Locals directed to Alto Cinco. The menu covers everything from bar food andVegan, to meet eaters delights. The food was nicely prepared and the servers were efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is casual. I will be back.

I was looking for a "tipico" Mexican restaurant-- a place that had chorizo, carnitas, and menudo on the menu-- but that wasn't Alto Cinco. HOWEVER, their Chili Rellenos were delicious-- cooked in a traditional egg batter and smothered with an rich, red sauce. Their black beans, rice, and salad sides were also very tasty. Sitting at our sidewalk table with... More

We had a great brunch at Alto Cinco. The restaurant had a lot of good vegetarian options, fresh food, and a dog friendly patio. The portions were generous. We really enjoyed our time there with friends.

My family had a Mexican restaurant for years and I go here on average twice a month to fix my cravings! Great calamari and margaritas and always pleasant service

The food is fantastic and fresh, and also very vegetarian-friendly. It is a little pricey but worth it for the giant portion sizes. There are generally pretty long wait times so in the past we have often just ordered takeout rather than waiting for a table.

I really want to like this restaurant as it is walking distance from my house but they make it difficult. The food is always lukewarm and somewhat pricey. On my last visit the waiter was unfriendly, inattentive and condescending.

I wouldn't call this place budget friendly but I do think it is worth the money. I was very happy with the meal I got which was the fish tacos. They were the best I have ever had and I have tried many fish taco dishes at various restaurants in the country. The staff was friendly and our server was... More
