My family had a Mexican restaurant for years and I go here on average twice a month to fix my cravings! Great calamari and margaritas and always pleasant service

The food is fantastic and fresh, and also very vegetarian-friendly. It is a little pricey but worth it for the giant portion sizes. There are generally pretty long wait times so in the past we have often just ordered takeout rather than waiting for a table.

I really want to like this restaurant as it is walking distance from my house but they make it difficult. The food is always lukewarm and somewhat pricey. On my last visit the waiter was unfriendly, inattentive and condescending.

I wouldn't call this place budget friendly but I do think it is worth the money. I was very happy with the meal I got which was the fish tacos. They were the best I have ever had and I have tried many fish taco dishes at various restaurants in the country. The staff was friendly and our server was... More

Staying one night in Syracuse on the way home from the East coast we wanted something Mexican. This restaurant was a couple of kms from our hotel and had decent reviews. Got there about 730 on a Monday night and still had to wait 10 mins for a table (a good sign in my opinion). Got seated and ordered beers,... More

Fresh and well prepared Mexican food, I'm not sure what part of Mexico, if you went somewhere for "authentic american food," what would you get? Prices were a little high for value of food, but worth doing again.

The guac was great. The pico was fresh and tasty. The jerk chicken taco was really good. The regular chicken taco tasted like it was pulled out of a chafing dish. It was like it had been in warm water stewing for a bit. No flavor and watery. Prices were a bit high for tacos. Nice atmosphere though. I think... More

I have been to Alto's several times and have always had great service and wonderfully delicious food. The restaurant is very nice and the acoustics are good in the dining area so even when they are packed you can still carry on conversations. The bar gets crowded easily and is pretty small, but they have very good service. I love... More

Quaint little restaurant. If your looking for authentic Mexican food this hidden gem is the place for you! Huge portions! Real Mexican flavours. You will leave feeling stuffed! Great place. Side note- tough to find parking!

My colleagues and I ate here dinner. We had tacos, tostadas, and quesadilla. We drank Mexicans beer and paid a total of 75$ for three tacos, one quesadilla, one mojito, one shrimp tostada, and three beers. Service was also very good. Highly recommended for both family and friends outing.
