Stopped by on a Friday night, with an hour and a half to eat before heading to our next commitment. Upon walking in, there was no hostess, and we stood by the bar (with zero acknowledgement) until someone told us we could sit at one of the high tops. We were confused about whether or not the high tops were considered bar service, or waiter/waitress. We sat with menus for over ten minutes, until a wonderful waitress zoomed by saying she’d be right with us. Not sure if they were short-staffed, but they had four people behind the bar, and only two waitresses that I saw (every single table was occupied). It was busy, but it was not shoulder to shoulder or “packed.” Every part of this process took way longer than it should have, and the food came out luke warm. Asked for the check as the food was dropped because we had to eat and run, not expecting two sandwiches and two beers to take up so much time. The only highlight was that the overwhelmed server was pleasant and working hard.

arrived just after the restaurant 11 waters closed. But the bar was supposedly still serving their full menu until 10 PM. A little frustrated that we were told that only the late night menu was available even though it was before 10 PM. But as we were with kids and after we pushed back a bit They allowed us to order a real meal not just fried finger food. And I understand why they closed the kitchen early to new meals because supposedly they were backed up and short staffed. The waitress and manager were fabulous and checked in on us often partly because we had kids eating dinner so late. they were friendly and courteous and kept us informed and the food actually came out sooner than we expected even though they said it was going to take a little while. However the food was only OK. It filled the need in a pinch on Sunday night late, but it’s not a destination for food. Spinach salad was decent but too much dressing. Skip the bacon Mac and cheese, or try it w/o then bacon. None of the 6 of us liked it and thought it would’ve been better so the bacon. Broccoli Flatbread should be avoided. While it had potential based on the description it was not worth the calories or cost. Chef needs to overhaul that dish and replace every ingredient with higher quality inputs. Ironically the best food was the chicken fingers and fries, exactly what we were trying to avoid (fried greasy food late at night).

We had dinner here on Friday night of the TBT Basketball Tournament. We planned to eat at 7:00 and called ahead for reservations. The person I spoke to suggested we eat at 6:30 instead due to a large 120 person party. We took the excellent suggestion! There is live music on Friday nights. It was OK. The large group was in the back room, but was kind of all over (which was completely fine, they were having a good time), with a lot of kids in the group. It was a bit noisy between the singer and the large group-but we were able to carry on a conversation with no problem. Our server Alicia was very good-but also very busy as it was crowded. We had wings for appetizer (half price appetizers), and I actually had an appetizer...Garlic Broccoli Flatbread for my dinner. Hubby had The Shaughnessy. The food was good-but not great. This place was cute, large, with OK food. We would probably come again if the opportunity presented itself.

I recently visited Shaughnessy’s Irish pub and had an amazing experience! The food was delicious, especially the Red White Blue Salad, Chicken Caesar, and Chicken Tenders. The staff were fantastic, with Nicole behind the bar mixing great drinks and Tabitha, Mike, and Lindsey providing excellent service. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great meal and a friendly atmosphere!

Horribly rude server; worst I've ever had. We went in to watch the Syracuse men's basketball game and were initially drinking at the bar. As the place was dead, we moved to a nearby table and were promptly told "if it gets busy you'll need to move" -- fine with me as I've been told that before. I then went to ask if we could transition to a normal table and get a server & menus so that we could reserve the table and also eat. The waitress, Caroline, who we were sadly assigned, stated "you cant all share nachos" in this horrible tone. As a paying customer, this is a ridiculous thing to say; I can order whatever I want. She stopped by our table maybe once or twice the entire time we were there and made sure we knew her attitude was well known to our table; it was difficult for me to even get more water. The group I was with was polite and were treated with nothing but disrespect. Never felt comfortable in that place, our waitress was rude and deserved the $1 tip I gave her... try to be more hospitable in the hospitality industry. She went from making around $30-40 on our table to less than $10... not sure if ill go back.

Nice folks here trying to do their best, but they messed up my breakfast order two days in a row! Hard to believe that they cannot get it right with so few people in the hotel. Also, you can only get takeout and they only have a very small size cup for coffee or tea. Does not make sense.

We were there too late to get anything other than appetizers, but those items were fresh and good. The Scarlett's flatbread had a really nice chewy crust with the buffalo chicken and cheese and lots of delicious bleu cheese crumbles. The poutine (which they call Poochtine) was pretty good, although it could have used a lot more gravy and cheese curds - the fries themselves were delicious. The pretzel bites were fabulous with the right amount of salt and good texture and a wonderful queso dip. Good service in getting our order to go and friendly staff. Decent prices.

Probably a bit better than average in fairness. Good bar food and lots of tvs and the bar staff was great. Attached to Hotel Syracuse, if your staying there. It’s then convenient to watch sports and grab a bite. Didn’t eat but the foods I saw looked good and people seemed to like them. It’s a big room, shades of the old days when it was a pretty hip club. It works for what it is.

We were staying at the adjacent Marriott and so glad we stopped in. We were going to sit on the patio because of our dog, despite it being a little cool, but they said we could bring him into the pub with us. The staff were very friendly checking on both us and the dog. Beer was cold, and food was delicious. Will come back if we're in the area again.

We were lucky to be staying at the Hotel Syracuse Marriott the night before our Covid shots. This is a friendly and professional tavern with good food and drinks. We were lucky to meet our server John, a professional and friendly person happy to talk with us and make recommendations about our short stay. We very much look forward to going back in a few weeks.

Hit up before noon Syracuse football kickoff. Solid spot with a lot of energy. Included some breakfast/tailgate food that was better than average. Quality beer list. Connected to Marriott upstairs. Only issue was staff a touch overwhelmed despite not a full house. Will very easily return!

We ate here as we were staying at the Marriott hote where this establishment is located. All of the food we tried here was very good and at a great price. The Ruben sandwiches were excellent, the fries were good and the French onion soup was excellent. The poochtien was good but could have had more gravy. The wings were average and the salads were all huge and fresh.

Staff was the absolute worst. If your looking for bartender to completely ignore you for 20+ minutes. You found the bar. Worst wait staff I have dealt with in a very long time. Miserable not friendly ignoring you. Go other places. This place sucks. Remember who you piss off. 🤷‍♀️🙌

Kitchen closes at 7:00pm for no reason. Management needs a change. Good location but Marriott needs to end this as the primary bar for this hotel

The food is great. The atmosphere is fun. The bartenders are friendly but inattentive at best. They need to be more responsive to the customers.
