We came to Funk 'n Waffles purely because of the Food Network show recommendation! What an AWESOME experience and one we will NEVER forget! Being from Indiana, we were a LONG way from home on our New York business trip and we mapped out our trip to make sure this hot spot was on our route, and BOY ARE WE... More

I wasn't in the mood for a waffle, so I had a fantastic tofu, sausage, and cheese sandwich. My co-worker had the famous Chicken n Waffle, which she loved. Although we did not indulge in it, there is Gannon's Ice Cream...a local favorite. The unsweetened ice tea was green and great. The staff is always happy to customize your food... More

Funk N Waffles was reviewed by Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and this was part of our inspiration to visit. (The other part was that it is very close to Syracuse University). Located in a basement below street level, it is definitely an experience. They offer a wide variety of waffles (gluten free, buttermilk, whole grain...) and an equally wide variety... More

Good service, great coffee, unique waffles and a big variation to choose from. We had one savoury and one sweet waffle. Advice - come with a big appetite because you won't want to leave any to waste!

My girlfriend had this on her list of things she really wanted to do, so we headed there for her birthday breakfast. We arrived around 11a (so, more of a lunch). The approach to the place is through an alley which has the potential to be a little shady - I am 6'03" and 225, but I would not be... More

Not an easy place to find but if you ask locals they'll direct you. Quite charming and funky Decors. Music is great and what we tried in menu was good. I love savory dishes abs they definitely nailed it (tried Gouda/ herbs waffle). Very satisfying breakfast. Price is right for us as visitors but I'm not sure for student budget.

Ate here after a campus tour. A great way to experience The M street area and get some great food. We had a variety of waffles after some advice from the stellar counter staff. Pulled pork, an Israeli and a classic chicken. All were delicious. Milk shakes were good - love seeing Ithaca's Purity Ice Cream on the menu. Well... More

I went here with a group of ten people. We pulled tables together to accommodate our size. Most tables we saw were four or two top size. Food is ordered at a counter so individuals went up to order their food. Because each of us ordered our own food it came out as single orders. That meant that those who... More

I went with my husband and 2 children, 3 years old and 8 months old. I ordered a brownie waffle with ice cream. It tasted great, what wasn't stolen by the kids! My husband got a coffee, he didn't like it though, said it was "clumpy"

They had so many waffles to choose from. I had one stuffed with bacon, it was delicious. Very much a college hangout. 3 grown-ups ate with for $30.
