I ordered two waffles. One was a chicken and waffles and the other was The Jive. This one is supposed to be a stuffing waffle with mashed potatoes, turkey, cranberry sauce and gravy. My waffle was a regular ordinary waffle - not the stuffing. There was also no gravy what so ever. There was also way too much mashed potatoes... More

While in Syracuse shopping we took the kids here for breakfast. There were many great choices for making waffles, including chocolate waffles! The portions were well sized and the kids sure left happy. All parking in the vicinity was metered parking. The restaurant is down a stairs at the end of side entrance from the street. It is dark inside... More

As someone "on-the-way-to-be" vegan, having the option to have a falafel made waffle was really cool. They also offer a vegan waffle batter which is really good and sweet. I enjoyed every part of it. If you're going for savory & sweet, I think half a waffle is enough unless you're starving.

Order at the counter, receive a buzzer and sit down, also bus your own tables. Live music most nights, funk music playing other times. But go for the waffles. They actually cook ingredients INTO the batter. I had the Florentine - a waffle with spinach and feta inside, topped with smoked salmon and served with sour cream. A friend had... More

Visited on 8/7 with my daughter and friends. No table service you order at the counter and get a beeper for when your food is ready. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken and accompanying syrup had a bit of kick to it. Very good. My daughter had the brownie waffle with strawberries. It was good but she did... More

We tried going last year on a visit to Syracuse but a sporting event made the streets way to busy. So we were back in town and my daughter would not let us leave with out having a meal. So a bacon, Brie and basil and a give turkey with a quarter James Brownie for a sweet ending. Yes this... More

Certainly a different place to eat breakfast when in Syracuse. Many, many choices of -- take a guess -- waffles. I had the buckwheat with fruit, which were wonderful. Others had whole wheat, chocolate chip and fruit topped. One had an egg. With tip, the cost was more than $50. Very expensive. Also, since you pay when you order, if it's... More

We were in Toronto for the weekend and drove 4 hours to check this place out. We saw it on triple D and had to check it out. Well worth the trip!! I want to bring this place to Atlanta.

We came to Funk 'n Waffles purely because of the Food Network show recommendation! What an AWESOME experience and one we will NEVER forget! Being from Indiana, we were a LONG way from home on our New York business trip and we mapped out our trip to make sure this hot spot was on our route, and BOY ARE WE... More
