Great Japanese restaurant in Queens. I was craving ramen and stopped by here, enjoyed my tonkotsu ramen and broth with a cold glass of Asahi beer.

My family has frequented this place numerous times. It’s been a while so we went again. The prices went up exorbitantly for their specials. We love the special which includes salad, udon soup noodles with tempura, chicken teriyaki and ice cream. A few years ago,...it was $12, then increased to $14 and now its $19. Nonetheless, my mother still loves that special. I think it’s a little too pricey now. Everyone enjoyed their food...got a mix of sushi, salmon teriyaki, gyoza, etc. You can choose from 3-4 ice cream flavors—green tea (my favorite), red bean, vanilla or ginger (my mom’s favorite but they ran out). The servers are very nice and the restaurant is clean. It’s become a family favorite so even if the prices went up, I’m sure we will continue to come here.More
I went here a few days ago and it was my first time eating real udon!! I’ve had udon before in broth but not the real stuff!! They say the first time is always a charm but there were so many things in the bowl...that I lost all sense of everything!! I was just figuring out what to eat and how to eat it!! After I boiled it down I thought it was so good!!More
I was disappointed. First, we were not allowed to seat where we wanted. The tempura in the udon soup was mushy. The waiters speak Japanese and there are some Japanese decor, but I was not impressed at all with the atmosphere. It looked more like...a diner.More
I have been visitng this place for 25 years and it has improved with time. The menu has expanded with the same care to prpeare your meal.
I like this place because it is low key and the food is always good and fresh. The service is good as well and it is close to the subaway. They also offer specials which are really good to try
All the food was luke warm. Had to ask for silverware and napkins twice. The waiter chased us to the door telling us we didn't leave him enough tip. Never in my days has that ever happened. He wanted 16%. It was not worth 16%
Ariyoshi is one of my family’s go to Japanese restaurant in Queens. They have a wide selection of sushi, noodles, rice, and other dishes. I am not a fan of seafood, so I probably don’t get to appreciate this restaurant in the fullest, but everyone...in my family always enjoys the sushi choices whenever we go. I particularly love the kijidon special. For those who don’t eat seafood, this is for you! The special starts off with a housemade salad topped with a typical fresh carrot salad dressing, followed by a big bowl of udon noodles in soup with tempura, followed by chicken teriyaki over rice, and finished off with a scoop of ice cream- red bean, vanilla or green tea. My personal favorite is the green tea ice cream. Often the special is too much for me to eat but it’s perfect to pack up the chicken and rice to eat later on. The deal is about $15-16. What I love about ariyoshi is that they offer a variety of specials, combos, and bento boxes like this. You get a good amount of food for a decent price. One of my favorites is also heir gyoza appetizer (fried dumplings). I’m a dumpling lover and theirs are absolutely delicious! Sometimes I’m tempted to just order that. The service here is wonderful. The restaurant can get crowded so go early. I’m unsure about how reservations work. My little cousins ask to go here every time it’s their birthdays! That’s how much we love it.More
My cousin recommend this place, we went there on Wednesday night and the place was almost full but they found table for 4 of us. The dinner was absolutely amazing, great - sushi, location and the best company and of course sake boom......
This is my go-to for Japanese delivery. The special sushi rolls are great, as are the ramen and udon. They have a very wide selection of appetizers as well, and some of my favorites are the agedashi tofu and simmered fish. They did raise the...price a little recently, but it's still worth it!More
