I have eaten Indian food at restaurants all over the US and abroad. I just found the prices high for what you get. We ordered a number of dishes to go - lamb rogan josh, chicken taka masala. We ordered different breads and roti. I...found my lamb a bit tough but the dish was delicious. Since I recently moved to the Suffern area, I am not familiar with other Indian restaurants in the area. The one advantage of Adaraka is that I can walk there from my residence and they deliver.More

We said we would try this “new” Indian restaurant, and we have, but we will not be ordering again. There are far superior Indian restaurants in the vicinity. Picking up “pandemic takeouts” is obviously not as nice as dining in, but this does not change...the fact that the food was poor quality and overpriced. Of course, presentation is difficult when food is placed in containers, but that does not mask a poor quality dish(es). I have experienced many versions of Indian cuisine in USA, but the standard meals (Tikka, Madras, Korma and Vindaloo) were disappointing. Tikka (Murgha?) was just horrible, undercooked marinade but dried out chicken and an overpowering flavor of yellow mustard - disgusting!?! The Korma sauce seemed to be a tinned coconut sauce, not even the right color, just an insipid pale cream, not a hint of a normal korma flavor whatsoever. 😖 The madras was “unusual” but actually nice, but strangely spicier than the vindaloo ☹️ We were hoping this restaurant had improved - it used to be the “Priya” but we stopped going there years ago when every dish was the same color and taste, but the owner disputed this. Not sure if same owners. The biggest gripe is that the food is DEFINITELY overpriced. $21 for sub-standard entrees and a service fee and tip required if you get delivery - outrageous.More

We travel to Suffern once every few months and we believe the service, atmosphere and food are excellent. Our family love the Ginger martinis, fresh home made dozas and the genuine friendly service. This place has outdoor seating, perfect for those traveling with dogs.

Awesome team work. Loved the food. Great server James was able to give us great suggestion. Loved the cocktails - Adaraka Martini, and Pomegranate Martini were my favorite tries. I would highly recommend the place. It is a bit pricey. But well worth the food...and experience. I will be back soon in the near future.More

The food at dinner was well prepared and delicious. We had masala dosai, chicken madras, vegetables and two breads. The food had a little spice to it which emphasized the flavors. But the service was awful. We walked in at 6:15PM and didn't leave until...8:30. When we arrived there was only one other table which was in the process of placing their orders. We waited a long time for the waiter to take our order. We waited a long time to be served water. The waiter said they ran out of mangos so I could not get a mango lassi. We waited a long time to be served our masala dosai. When we finished it the waiter finally came over to ask if we wanted our dinner entrees. We said yes. We then waited a long time for it to arrive. We waited a long time to receive our check when we were finished. We waited a long time for it to be run through. While we were waiting 2 or 3 other tables arrived. They are received food while we were waiting. Should I say that we were the only table that was not Indian? We were given a lame excuse that this was because of Covid 19. With only 1 other table in the restaurant when we arrived that comment was nonsense. We will never come back.More

Stumbled up on this restaurant on our way back from the Storm King Center. The presentation was very innovative with an edible orchid. We ordered the Samundrani Toofan (salmon) and the Malai Kofta. Both were delicious. A little on the pricey side but justified.

As soon I got my Adaraka martini...( ginger martini ) myself start understanding there quality of service and I got my food , palak chat ( crispy spinach ) appetizer, Scottish salmon madras and lamb biryani , tawa paratha ... everything was outstanding, I can feel chef signature in every dish and beautiful plating. Past 7 years daining in various Indian restaurants but nothing like Adaraka... and best of luck to young entrepreneursMore

This is my favorite indian restaurant. Adaraka's food is definitely the most enjoyable and flavorable. Try the the Adaraka Martini and organic chicken korma. Looks very nice.

I had lunch at Adaraka a few days ago with a friend. I live in the village and love trying new restaurants when they open. This place is a gem! Our server James was old school and high end in his service and the food...was beautiful, flavorful and perfection actually. I’m pretty particular about food. This place blew me and my friend away with how careful and beautiful everything was plated and how beautiful the service was. We ordered one mango lassi (have the lassi!!) and James brought us 2, because he realized we were sharing the meal. We ordered a few dishes to sample a little of a lot and we couldn’t finish it all. The entire meal was much less than we figured it would be. We took our leftovers home and one item didn’t have any of the sauce left, James had the chef pack a container of the sauce in our bag. Go see for yourself and have a fabulous meal!More
