We recently stopped at the Tea Room for a lunch on a Saturday afternoon. This restaurant was not our first choice based on the so-so reviews but we weren't able to get in to our first choice of restaurants and the Tea Room was able to immediately seat us. The service was very, very slow. Despite having several employees hanging... More

New owners took over last December with lots of changes. Décor has been cleaned, brightened and lightened, definitely more "British", new paint, wallpaper, lights, chairs and table clothes. Menu food has remained the same but the number of flavored teas has diminished. Prices have increased. Now open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. High tea available... More

Robinsons is a really nice place. Many people go for the tea. I've never done that myself but gave gone for lunch several times. Service us outstanding and food very good. You MUST get the scone. OUTSTANDING!

This charming tea room serves a tea worthy of a grand hotel. Very few can eat it all so you get to bring a bit home. There is a grand selection of teas which are constantly replenished and the tea sandwiches are varied. The scones are unbeatable. Atmosphere and service are good.

You know you are in for an impression of a British tearoom when they advertise "High Tea" for what is actually afternoon tea. Americans love these phony mock ups which is why this place is so popular. I don't find it cute to be served with chipped, mismatched teacups, nor to be served a pot holding 18 ounces of water... I had a pleasant afternoon tea with two friends, the salads are good as is the three tear tea plater, sandwich plates at other tables looked good. The tea selection is complete and served generously in individual tea pots.

This is a real gem! Salads are fresh and topped with chicken or shrimp salad, sandwiches with rye or pumpernickel bread smothered with tuna or ham salad, freshly made quiche or pot pies are just some of the highlights of the lunch fare in this adorable tearoom. Three varieties of scones served with clotted cream and jam are "beyond" delicious.... More

Robinson's Tea Room in the picturesque Long Island village of Stony Brook is a welcome haven for tea lovers and those seeking something different from the usual suburban eateries. My daughter and I have had tea there many times, and have never been disappointed with the fare. Robinson's is an eclectic mix of English country garden and Victorian kitsch that... More

Roberta and her staff are absolutely AMAZING! You won't find warmer service anywhere else on the island. This is my second time doing a tea party at this establishment and all my guests walk away feeling pampered and well taken care of. The tea choices are unbeatable, hot or cold to choose from and the scones are to die for.... More
