OK! Now that I have moved from Florida to Staten Island, I have decided to review many of the bagel joints on the Island. I just love bagels. I can eat them right out of the bag or stuffed with cream cheese or lox and...tomatoes, whitefish salad, tuna salad or with scrambled eggs. Bagels must be fresh with a soft chewy inside and a crusty outside. They must also be so tasty that if you ate nothing but the bagel, the taste would still quite satisfying. I will be reviewing several bagel places so keep your eyes open. Bagel Depot gets top billing of 5 Stars. The staff is friendly, The bagels fresh and the additions in the deli case are quite good as well. The bagel gets top billing here. It is not only that it is always fresh but by itself ( nothing on it), it is the tastiest bagel on Staten Island. Adding whatever you want to the bagel just makes it better. By the way, the flagels are excellent as well. One of the things I like about the everything bagels here is that salt is part of the 'everything'. When an everything bagel lacks salt, it really affects the taste of the bagel. I highly recommend Bagel Depot and name it one of my top bagel pick in Staten Island.
