Terrible experience. Bland food. Overpriced. Tiny and smelly restaurant. Little nats flying around. I complained to manager and was told to come back another night....WHAT?!?! No thank you!

Tonight we tried this restaurant, for the first time. We arrived for our reservation time, we were greeted with a friendly welcome. We decided to try tonight, because we heard a "Nonna" from Algeria was making fresh couscous. We started with the fresh mozzarella with tomatoes and seafood salad ( less celery should be used) takes up space for more... More

Enoteca Maria is an inviting eating experience to enjoy, not only an Italian Nonna's cooking,..but to enjoy the foods of other Nonna's countries, combining the two was delectable.,Tonight the Nonna was from Algeria...the appetizer we chose from Algeria was delicious... tasty baked potatoes & seasonings..in a light baked crust..with a side of greens...that complimented our Italian entree selection of pasta with... Living on Staten Island for 26 years, I heard a lot about this restaurant. The concept is great: four different nonnas changing up the menu. Our night was an Italian and an Argentinian. They have a great wine list. My husband had the stuffed eggplant appetizer (enough for two so share and save yourself some money) and his main course... More

This small restaurant very conveniently located near the Staten Island ferry is a fun adventure. They invite a rotating set of Nonnas (grandmothers) to cook on a daily basis. Although the restaurant is basically Italian, the Nonnas are from all over, thanks to the diversity in the neighborhood. The night we went, there was an Italian and a Peruvian Nonna... More

Best meal I had on Staten Island in a long time. Everything was great from the friendly service, to the delicious desert! I never ever order chicken but took a chance and it was great! The cold fish salad appetizer was tender with just the right amount of seasoning. Don't pass this place up its great!

The place is great if you stick to the Italian food selections that are available daily on the menu. They have other chefs as its the theme but when its not Italian food it can be hit or miss. The fresh pasta is the best I've ever had. A warning- They seem to substitute packaged pasta when they run out... More

We deliberately savored the train and ferry travel to this spectacular spot an easy walk from the terminal, on Staten Island. The Nona of our day was from Napoli and she fed us royally with new flavors and beautiful, abundant antipasti, pasta, rabbit and more. The wine list was distinctively chosen and we got really knowledgeable advice. We're going back!... More
