Some have warned us about end of summer dining service at north fork establishments, that it can be a little off due to the loss of summer staff. While our experience was not terrible, we did have to wait about an hour for our appetizer course, although every bite was (almost) worth the wait. Good food and a nice setting,... More

There were seven of us for dinner. Everyone commented on how good the food was. Between us there were no repetitive orders. The cocktails were decent. The main issue we had was the service which didn't stack up to the food. Table was not cleared off between courses. Bus people need training. When we got the bill there were six drinks... More

We stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday after our original choice kitchen was closed that day. We were greeted and invited to sit out on their deck overlooking the marina and Peconic bay. The day was beautiful and so was the view. Our server Sherry came right over for our drink order. She was very friendly and helpful with... More

Sit outside and enjoy a clean, picturesque marina view. The tables are adorable and comfortable and not crowded together. The food and specialty drinks were even better than expected. Menu is upscale, yet familiar, creative yet comfortable. I can't wait to come back. Wait staff is a pleasure also. Whether you sit inside or out you have a sense of... More

We went for dinner after reading reviews. Place was nice and the outdoor seating was worth waiting since we did not have a reservation. Hostess, bartender and even the owner Robert were friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately our server was not good, never check to see how we were, how the food was, if we needed anything. Slow and very... More

Food was very good. Had the octopus and it was excellent. The fish and chips were very good and the children 's items were nice. The whole weakfish was outstanding. The shrimp cocktail had 4 jumbo shrimp but over priced. Give at least 6 shrimp for the price. Nice views but way too noisy. Almost to the point of wanting... More

Reserved a table for 14 for my son's engagement. Great views of the marina and staff was wonderful. The blood orange margaritas were delicious as was all the food we ordered. For desert if you are a chocolate lover you must try the chocolate bag. We were never rushed and had a terrific time.

Stopped there for dinner mid-week. Decent food, great local wine list. Adequate service. Nice water views and varied menu. Tuna tartare was good.

Description
A Lure, located at the landmark Port of Egypt Marina, is the North Fork's newest waterfront seafood restaurant and the newest joint venture by celebrated chef Tom Schaudel and restaurateur Adam Lovett. The duo, known for aMano in Mattituck, Passionfish in Westhampton Beach and Jedediah Hawkins in Jamesport, is joined by chef de cuisine and partner Jeff Uguil who leads in the kitchen. The idea behind A Lure is to create a seafood chowder house, serving impeccably fresh fish and seafood, in a relatively casual and convivial setting for locals, boaters, day-trippers and vacationers on the idyllic North Fork of Long Island wine country.
