Been eating here for over 30 years. It's just not the same anymore. Food was average. Ribs were very fatty. Sauce was nothing special. Other dinners were not that good. Service was bad and slow and it was not crowded. Atmosphere is still the same but I need good food to enjoy a restaurant. We'll keep our memories and move... More

I really wanted to love this place, because I came here a few times as a little kid and this was my first time back in 20 or so years, and there is also a shortage of dining options in the area. The location is nice on the water, and at first the place has a laid back casual seaside... More

Love the feel here- very casual, down to earth, family atmosphere place along the water. Service is very casual. View of dock and some fish jumping around in the water. Plenty of outdoor space, screened in, and indoor. With that being said, it is a place to go to have some lobster and beers. If that's what you are looking... More

We've gotten the SPLAT for years. then had a ten year break and now we're back to try it again. For those who don't know, the Splat is the steamed shellfish platter-2 whole lobsters, king crab, shrimp, clams, steamers and mussels with potatoes and mixed vegetables to share for 2. It's a huge amount of food for 2 people. It's... More

When we drove by the Lobster Grill we didn't realize how lucky we were to have this restaurant so close to where we were staying. We stopped in for lunch since our villa wasn't ready until 4:00. We were pleasantly surprised how good it was. My son ordered the steamed seafood platter and devoured it up so quickly I didn't... More

Very cool diner style restaurant with a great outlook over the water. Best get an outside table to enjoy the view. Service was a little too relaxed but nothing to complain about. The 'splat' was a good size. Clams and muscles were very tasty. The lobster didn't taste fresh though. A little dry. Might have been out of season as... More

A little off the beaten path in Southampton, The Lobster Inn is a nice place to have lunch. We went on a Wednesday in July and sat outside in the screen porch as it was not too hot outside. Pleasant service from the waiter and servers. A nice selection of sandwiches, sea foods and salads for lunch. Good size portions.... More

If you are looking for an old school seafood restaurant in the Southhampton area--this is a good choice. It is not fancy but offers good local seafood at fair prices. Steamer clams and lobsters are our favorites.

Appetizers of clams on the half shell and crab cakes were great. We had the 3 pound lobster for 2. It came out on separate plates ready to eat with really good veggies. It was delicious and a great deal and was plenty of food for me and I'm a big eater. I was able to save enough room for... More

My boyfriend and I stopped here for cocktails on a sunny Friday afternoon. He had not been here since the early 1980s and for me it was a first time visit. Upon entering the 2 hostesses were friendly and cheery. The decor is what is expect of an old lobster shanty. Large lacquer tables. Lots of wood, an aquarium, nautical... More
