Bad idea

Been here many times, food always good, wait staff is ok. Not happy on this trip. We ordered baked clams for appetizers, they were served on littleneck clams! They are about the size of a quarter, no bigger. Why not serve them on regular sized clams (like they're supposed to be) and raise the price a few dollars.

Puglia is a high end Italian

Puglia is a high end Italian restaurant. We enjoyed a nice dinner here. The veal chops are huge. The pasta dishes are a good size to share and the desserts were the perfect ending to the meal.

Last dinner decision was the right one

Went with neighborhood friends but couldn’t decide where Puglias accepted our reservation for 6 of us I drive past this place 4 times a week and never knew it was there Lulu our waitress was a joy Nice cocktails including my old fashioned Baked clams to start Seafood marinara, rib eye, lobsters, rigatoni a la vodka with shrimp All were delicious The service was attentive Looks like we found another good place to eat

Disappointed

Went yesterday sat outside. Waited twenty minutes for bread and water to arrive at the table. ordered baked clams came out pale with no sauce undercooked. Ordered lobster ravoli with pink sauce the sauce was more orange thank pink, I have had better. Ordered chicken parmigiana it had to be the thinnest cutlet I have ever had and it wasn’t good.. the best part was the wine and the bread. I did not finish my meal. It was at 6:30 and not that busy. I will not return.

Great italian steakhouse

Great Italian steakhouse with a variety of options. Came here for the first time and had a great meal. Went on a Friday night without a reservation but got seated right away. Service was great and very welcoming. Started with the house red which was sweet and served cold but still very good. For an app we got the mussles in red sauce served in a bread bowl. Wow this was good, mussles were cooked perfectly, the sauce was delicious, and the bread bowl was awesome. For dinner I got the 10 oz. Filet which was delicious and cooked perfectly. I got the croquets on the side which were also very good. My wife got the gnocci and shrimp dish served in a ala vodka sauce which was also very good. Overall a great spot to try as long as your willing to open up the wallet a bit. Enjoy.

We will NEVER go there again!

We have been going to Puglia's Italian Steakhouse in Seaford, since they opened. We used to also go to their other locations in East Meadow and Garden City. We decided to take some friends out for dinner at Puglia's, and decided to go on Saturday, 3/11/23. Well... everything started out ok, since we arrived at 4:30pm. We were immediately asked what we wanted to eat and drink. By 4:45pm, our appetizers were served. Our dinner itself, too a very long time to be served, like they forgot about us. While we were eating, my husband takes something out of his mouth...OMG it was a piece of steel wool. He called the waiter over and showed it to him. He immediately took his plate and got him a new dinner. After dinner, we decided to have dessert, again it took a very long time to be served. As soon as we were done eating, the waiter asked us to leave. We were confused, and a bit insulted. We were only there for about two hours, from start to finish. We go to this restaurant at least 1-2 times a month and this wasn't what we were expecting. Especially from the waiter that knows us and serves us all the time. This is after we gave him a $60 tip for just four people. We then decided to speak to the owner/manager, and she said, "We need to sit other people down". There was probably four people waiting at that time, which they had other tables to seat them. Not only she was uncaring, unprofessional, she was rude. We told her that she just lost four of their customers and she said "Ok, not a problem". We will NEVER go to Puglia's again. Being a faithful customer, obviously doesn't mean anything to management.

Great family Dinner

I read reviews and booked for a family of 7. We are Italians and foodies, so it is a tall order to satisfy us. I must say the Puglia did not disappoint! The food was amazing and we all ordered something different. It will be my new favorite spot n I would recommend to my fiends! I am not a rice fan but they made an great one and there zeppole stick desert as my brother would say when it was beyond good “Dirty” good. Thanks for a great experience Puglia!!!

Great service but the food was extremely rich and also extremely heavy on the oil and garlic. Not my first choice of a local Italian restaurant.

My wife liked it...I wasn't crazy about he place

The bread was served quickly, but kind of commercial quality..I had a wedge salad that was good, and shrimp oreganata ..the shrimp dish was way overloaded with under cooked garlic...there was more diced garlic than shrimp, but it was not thoroughly cooked...it was kind of hard and so much of it that it was hard to tell if the shrimp were cooked.it came with a potato croquet and sauteed spinach...both just ok...for the prices it should have been a lot better...my wife had Caesar salad and linguine with red clam sauce...she said hers was good..the place is nice and the service is good...but I think they need a better cook...for the price it was not really a place I would return to or recommend...it is high priced...but not fine dining

I joined a group of friends for dinner at Puglias ladies night. Their price fix menu was excellent. It included appetizer, entree and dessert. They had drink specials for $5 to add to the meal. The service was attentive and professional. Jimmy our waiter was a pleasure. We all enjoyed the food—salads, mussels, and baked clams. The dinner entrees shrimp oreganata, shrimp with zucchini and the chicken dish. The desserts were decadent and we all shared them.

Good food. Very uncomfortable. Tables very close together. Waiters bumping into chairs of customers. Very loud restaurant. Not a relaxing night out at all. Disappointed.

Birthday dinner.

The atmosphere is so loud we cold barely hear our conversation. Service was outstanding, the food ok. I ordered the filet mignon and shrimp scampi combo. I got one shrimp and the meat had very little flavor, the bacon wrapped around it made overbearingly salty. I will not be going back here.

went to puglias yesterday for my birthday with friends and it was delicious! They had a wednesday dinner special for $28.95 which includes an appetizer entree and desert. I got baked clams as an appetizer which were very tasty. Then i ordered shrimp oregnata which was Amazing. It came with spinach fried potato and 4 pieces of shrimp. the flavor on the entree was absolutely exquisite. For desert, i had chocolate mousse cake which was also delicious and satisfying. A cup of sangria topped off the dinner and i would love to come back here and try other items on the menu. Great early birthday dinner :)

Couldn't Make a Reservation

Called Puglias a few times and tried to make reservation for 4 diners. I was told that they only accept reservationefor parties of 8 or more.

Food Fantastic but too noisy

Our first try. The food was delicious, and service fine, but we arrived early at 6:30pm, on a Friday, and the atmosphere was very nice, but by 7:30pm you could not hear anything anyone at your table was saying. Every table was so very loud. I know its not the restaurants fault, but other places we've been like this, we've tried again, but have always had the same situation with the noise level. I think, some of it has to do with the low ceilings. This place had very low ceilings so the noise is always worse. We'll try again because all the food was very well prepared and delicious. We all were very satisfied, and the portions were huge, but when you leave with a stomachache.....AND a headache, and there are so many other great places around...you're gonna go elsewhere. We all walked out with the same opinion…..everyone praising how delicious their meal was...but " man it was so loud in there ".
