I have passed by this place so many times I never thought to go in so we had my nephews birthday and decided to give it a try. First and foremost the staff there from the owner down to the waiters are all incredible, really...good people that care about your experience at their restaurant that goes a really long way with me when I go places. We sat down in corner with a party of nine people and the service was impeccable from the start of our experience to the end. Ordered some appetizers including fried calamari, tortellini soup, and fried cheese and everything tasted really good. Add the walnut salad as an appetizer and it was very good my only comment would be for it to be slightly larger, but it was a good portion if you were thinking of it as an appetizer for a meal I think it would be too small for most people. Ordered a number of things from the menu including chicken Parmesan, lamb chop, Fettuccine Alfredo, buffalo pizza and chicken piccata and everything was very good. This is not pizzeria quality food, this is Italian restaurant quality food, a lot of the places on Long Island are pizzerias and they have food as well this is a restaurant that has some small pizzas. I will definitely go back they had live music on the Saturday night they brought a huge tray out for my nephews birthday of all sorts of desserts and I don’t think I can complain about one thing. Not going to say that everything I ate was the best I’ve ever had, but everything that we had was of high-quality.More

I had my bridal shower at Gusto Divino on a Saturday night, and it was so disappointing. I was promised certain tables in a particular section, and when I arrived that night ready to set up, the owner - Mike - had given away my...section to a bigger party. He explained that the reason was because he had a bereavement come in last minute, and that they were "really good customers." I thought I was a good customer too, but apparently I was not even worth a phone call to give me a head's up. He was not apologetic, and his suggestions were either starting my party later in the evening, or moving me to a different section. I understand that the other group was a bereavement, but I'm not sure why he gave away the section of tables that was in my contract. We ended up moving my party into a totally different section and we were all crammed together, and my flowers and place settings were all off because of it. Also, the other group started giving speeches as my bridal shower guests started to arrive, and my party was then asked to be quiet. I'm sorry, but this was a Saturday night at a crowded restaurant, you can't expect complete silence. The happy vibe of the shower was really strained in the beginning. All in all, don't have a party here unless you're his friend and are bringing in a big group. Because I only had a small party of about 30, Mike made it very clear that I was not his priority, and he bumped me without a second thought. This was supposed to be a special day, and I really feel that his greed took that from me.More

We went here for my mother in law’s birthday, party of 5 on a Saturday night. Food was delicious!! Service was excellent too. We had appetizers - fried calamari and the fried mozzarella. For dinner, I had chicken marsala and it was perfect! Hubby had...veal shank, delicious too. For dessert we had the brownie and tiramisu. Would definitely go back.More

Had a reservation for a Saturday night. We were seated a few minutes earlier. Good start. We ordered fried calamari, rice balls and eggplant rollatini for appetizers. The eggplant & rice balls we’re lukewarm in the center. We placed our dinner order. Approximately 1 hour...lapsed. Our waiter came over to look down at an empty table. I think he thought we ate already. I asked him, “Where’s our food?” He said he would look into it. The food arrived in 15 minutes. The black linguine needed to be cooked more. The shrimp on it had no taste. The pasta bolognese was also bland. I had to tap a busboy who was filling water glasses at a nearby table to fill my glass. The noise volume is very high, making it difficult to talk and hear at the table. Overall, disappointing. No need to return here.More

I went with a small group of friends for an early new year's eve dinner. The food and drinks were excellent with good-sized portions. We were early enough to beat the rush, but even as the restaurant filled up with diners, it was comfortable and...we could speak among ourselves.More

This place was more than we expected. The service and food were excellent. I felt like I went to Arthur Ave or Little Italy back in the day. Seriously. Try it!

My friend and I had dinner there on a recent Tuesday. The restaurant was not crowded. The waiter was hovering over us the entire time. Food is good. Wine is a generous pour.

We were in NY for our anniversary and decided to try Gusto Divino Trattoria. Wow, awesome customer service in greeting us and treating us as regulars. My wife had the $32 seafood special combo and I had the Black Linguini. Very tasty fra diavolo sauce!...Desert was tiramisu and it was fresh and delicious. We appreciated the live music in the background who played guitar and piano music... not at the same time. Great atmosphere overall. If we were living here we would return regularly! Our waiter was Billy who was outstanding. Thank you for making our anniversary dinner special and incredibly delicious! We will hope to return soon when back in NY.More

My family of four came for dinner on Palm Sunday. This restaurant is very warm and the staff offers excellent service. Our family style tri-color salad was chopped perfectly and filled with flavor. The fried calamari was lightly breaded. The ladies both enjoyed the branzino...oreganato with fresh spinach, which was excellent. The boys ordered the chicken parm and veal sorrentino, both recommended. With a nice glass of wine to round out the meal, we all felt this experience is what dining out is supposed to be.More

Went here with 9 people on a Monday night. Service was beyond attentive. Food was amazing. We had multiple appetizers (grilled octopus, baked clams, eggplant, calamari) and each was done perfectly. Got to sample from each other on main courses...every one was off the charts...(black linguini with shrimp, ossa bucca, cavetelli, lasagna, others). Dessert was just as good, including tiramisu, cannolis, lava cake and gelato. Don’t miss this place!More

The meal was average. The lasagna was lacking is sauce and was presented haphazardly with noodles strewn about. It tasted to liked browned hamburger and cheese on noodles. My companion had pest chicken and potatoes. The pesto overwhelmed the chicken and the potatoes (and added...an interest green color to the potatoes). Was excited to try it out, but won't return with all the other great Italian options available.More

Went there for lunch which was overpriced and tasteless. Waiter kept trying to push us to order additional items on the menu. There are so many other good Italian restaurants in the area to eat in and I would avoid this one.
