My boyfriend and I went there Saturday night before Father's Day with a voucher to try them out. Nice dining area and ambiance. Our server was nicely attentive and friendly., as well as helpful. We got the Turf triple platter appetizer as a suggestion and it was delicious. He then ordered the Turf Tower (and Boy was it!!) and he... More

Excellent. Food and service were superb, and price was a welcome surprise. Food was hot and fresh and plentiful and very tasty. Service was always accessible. Room was spacious for 30 people and temperature was comfortable.

First I have to say that the service and the staff were very accommodating. The food was excellent and the room was very comfortable and quiet. Everything was awesome from the salad to the chicken and the roast beef. The roasted potatoes were off the charts. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great food, great atmosphere and excellent service. Hard to imagine such a nice restaurant in a small town like Scotia, NY. Scotia is in Schenectady County but that is also an unknown outside of Upstate NY.

Once again we went to the Turf in Scotia - I had the shrimp Genovesse My husband had the Queen cut prime rib with the shrimp - the shrimp is the best around - start with the salad - homemade dressings - very good. *the waitress told us they will be closed for vacation till July 10.

The Turf has outdone itself today. This is by far the best Mother's Day Brunch I have ever had. Until now, I have other favorites..but they have been bumped and this is our numero uno place for brunch. The food was amazing. There was something for everyone, including vegetarian, plus the salads which could have been vegan. I made 2... More

My wife and I have lived in Scotia for over 15 years now. We’ve been to the Turf Tavern only a handful of times – mostly for sports related banquets or showers. We decided to give them a try in the restaurant this week since we purchased a LivingSocial coupon. When we arrived in the restaurant there was an immediate... More

The Turf Tavern is classy yet comfortable. The menu offers a wide variety of steak, pork, fish, shellfish, pasta and desserts. We have tried everything from the Prime Rib, salmon, broiled scrod, stuffed pork loin, to the cheesy/creamy casserole of scallops and seafood! A great variety and all well prepared! Dessert are decadent as well and various specialties are always... More
