I have read a few of the reviews, and felt compels to add a voice of reason. The service at the Queen is almost always great. The ladies waitressing work hard, and are accurate and personable (I admit there is one lady who isn't quite...as nice, but I might have consistently caught her on a bad day.) The food is good and in the years we have gone there, I only had 2 issues, which were very quickly addressed to my satisfaction. On to the prices. Yes, they have increased. What hasn't? Food at the grocery store has wages have, and they must cover these and other increases. Be reasonable, folks. Show me a place that has not increased their prices, and I will meet you there for a meal. The prices are still within the appropriate range, so if you prefer a cheaper meal, go to the arches or some other place, but you will not have the enjoyment of a good meal.More

Good old fashioned comfort food. You'll never leave hungry as every meal comes with many different sides to choose from. I personally love the homemade soups. You'll really enjoy the authentic Greek items on the menu.

Always clean and delicious dinner food. Not much to choose from in the town of Glenville so the dinner is very important part of the community. I eat there several times a year and always enjoy the service and food.

I’ve eaten there since they opened - let’s see- 10- 15 years, or more. Friendly, good basic food, not meant to be fancy. I usually go for breakfast, as I think it’s their best meal. The restaurant, in my view, is somewhere between diner and...home style.More

When I think of a diner, the Glenville Diner is what I picture. A standalone building, cash register as soon as you walk in, a counter and lots of seating. The menu covers every thing from breakfast to Steak dinners and everything in between. I've...been to better diners then the Glenville Queen but I've been to FAR worse as well. It's your typical diner. We had really great service for a large group (9 people). The food came out as ordered and pretty quickly. The prices were pretty decent too. What you don't get is, wow, this might be the best meal I've ever eaten, and I don't expect that from a diner. What you do get is, wow, that was a really good grilled cheese, or BLT or Mozz Sticks or ceasar salad etc etc etc. Diners as a whole so everything well, but not known for doing anything great, this place is no exception. So, for a typical diner experience, which seems to be hard to find once you venture north or west of Albany, I highly recommend this place. They are good at what they do.More

Ate here on and off for a month while my refrigerator was being fixed. Breakfast with those great home fries was terrific. Loved the grilled cheese special. Loved the turkey dinner and the fried haddock. But my favorite was the Seafood Bisque. Absolutely wonderful. The...refrigerator is finally fixed, but we're coming back for those specials anyway. Thanks!!More

Was in the area for lunch, stopped by to try it out. Had a deluxe cheeseburger (lettuce, tomato, onion), mac salad on side, along with dill pickle spear. Burger was like they were when you were a kid, bun toasted and buttered. Everything was good,...portion was appropriate - any more would be too much. My cardiologist may not approve, but treat yourself to a "step back in time". Service was very good, menu had good selection - looked to be a good breakfast spot. Deserts displayed in a glass case as you walk in - that is for another day.More

We've been regular customers at the Queen for over the past 18 years and have always been happy with the quality of the food and reasonable pricing. That is, until the last 3-4 years. Prices have climbed steadily and are no longer reasonable for what...is being served. Just last Sunday we stopped in for breakfast. My wife ordered the standard spinach and Feta omelette and I had 2 soft-poached eggs over corned beef hash. The eggs were literally the size of golf balls and were overdone, and the hash was scorched. My wife enjoyed her meal. When we got the bill, I was floored. We were charged an added $.80 for the privilege of soft-poached eggs. The omelette was listed as a 'Feta Cheese Omelette' on the receipt and there was an up charge of an added $1.15 just for the spinach! Seriously?? I was livid - the S&F omelette is a basic diner omelette! and is listed as such on the menu with no added costs. An added charge for less time it took to cook the eggs? What's next? A surcharge for silverware? The Total bill came to over $39.00 (2 people) for basically 5 eggs, toast, hash browns, and coffee/tea. That is totally Ridiculous. We sadly will not be returning again. Ever. We've had enough. Ballston Lake, , NYMore

This Diner is just wonderful. The food is always excellent and the staff are delightful. We eat there at least once per week, usually breakfast but also for lunch or an early dinner. They have an extensive menu, and the specials are alway great. We...just cannot say enough about how good this restaurant is!More
