Located on broadway in an older section Broadway Lunch has been an institution since the 60’s. Hash is phenomenal. Try a hot dog with meat sauce, mustard and diced onion. Delicious!

Great local spot! Food was delicious, reasonably priced and service was excellent. This is a long-standing gem in Schenectady and rightfully so. Cheesesteak is legit made with Wiz and onions....the only way it supposed to be made😜

I have been going here for years. Great hot dogs
With the works the onions always fresh. Potato salad side is awesome. Coffee fresh. My wife had lasagna with plenty left over for me to take to work. This was the best lasagna I have had in a restaurant. Lots of meat nicely seasoned and the sauce reminded me of my Moms. I don’t know what it is about the coleslaw here but I could make a meal out of it. Service is great and they always make me feel like I’m with family.

We stopped in for an early dinner on Saturday after a drive. They have off street parking which is a plus. The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff very accommodating. The menu has a wide variety of options from hot dogs with a wonderful meat sauce to many great breakfast selections to full dinners. All the prices are very reasonable. Unfortunately they are not open on Sunday. We will definitely add Broadway Lunch to our list of regular dining locations!

We really like Broadway Lunch. I guess I would equate it with a cafe. Don't let the word "Lunch" in its name stop you from having dinner there, too. Love their hot dogs - which they are known for. Besides their famous hotdogs you can add a number of other additions to these hotdogs, too. Great French Onion soup! They have quite a variety of food just like a cafe would. We definitely go here if we are looking for lunch, dinner or comfort food. Prices are very reasonable.

Broadway lunch was recommended to us. Hubby loves his hot dogs. This place is known for its hot dogs and onion rings. We were not disappointed. Hubby’s hot dogs more than met his standards. My cheeseburger was cooked to perfect medium rare.
The staff is friendly and accommodating.
As we are mass marketed by chain restaurants and burger chains, it’s great to find and support a family owned place that loves and appreciates its staff and it’s customers. Broadway lunch has a devoted ‘regulars’ customer base but new people are treated like family right away. What is also evident is how much Phil the owner cares about his establishment. It’s impeccably clean. That’s important these days. The only issue I had is what was on the TV’s. I don’t know why restaurants or any establishment these days insists upon TV’s.

I hear hours are shorter and closed more often along with talk of selling and I hope the food and pricing stays the same because it beats all others hands down in both. Stop in grab a hot dog with the works you won't be disappointed.

We have gone to this place for years to get take-out order of hotdogs after an evening of dancing & fun. Authentic Greek sauce and fresh dogs & buns. A tradition for us for over 50 years and one we plan to continue. Try it--you'll enjoy

You just can't beat their hot dogs with meat sauce. Total awesomeness! Plus excellent service. Onion rings are made from scratch, sliced thin, with just right amount of breading..Not to be missed. Fries are superb, as well. #1 lunch stop in the area

From the neon signs to the worn seats, it feels like very little has changed in this diner over the past few decades. The menu is worn, but filled with a good variety of simple options. We all found our meals tasted good and were quite filling. The waiting staff were attentive. Prices were reasonable. As a visitor from out of town, I'm not sure this would be my go-to destination for tourism, but for a pleasant and satisfying dining experience, I have no complaints.

We go to Broadway lunch at least once a month and it's never a disappointment. Food is great, service is great and for lunch it's very inexpensive. Always specials that you would want to try. It looks like a typical diner but it's far above any in the area.

Despite their name, Broadway Lunch has always been appreciated more for their perfectly made, affordable breakfasts than for their lunches or dinners. Unless, of course, you're a fan of their meat sauce dogs, which I am not (best lunch in the area, imo, is actually up the block at the Bellevue Cafe, and the best dinner is around the corner at The Point). The other thing Broadway Lunch has been best known for has been their friendly, hard-working wait staff who make everyone feel right at home. Sadly, both of these are changing, as 1) the restaurant will be serving their last lunch tomorrow (Sat. Sept. 3), remaining open only for lunch and dinner going forward, and 2) as a direct result of the adjusted hours, they have lost, or will soon be losing, their most experienced (and beloved) wait staff.

This is basically a diner, with diner type meals. Large size portions at a very reasonable price and very good service, even when crowded, which is quite often, due to the fact that it is not that large of a place and the food is so good, and so cheap.

Broadway Lunch has the best Hot Dogs in Town. Their meat sauce is amazing. They also have a nice breakfast menu. Seating is limited but great diner food! Worth the trip.
