Wonderful food and baked goods, reasonably priced. We go to the restaurant for delicious breakfasts on special occasions. We hope to get there for dinner soon. The restaurant is cosy and has a very comfortable atmosphere. Their bakery has some of the best bread available locally and a selection of other tasty treats. A local landmark, the ovens at Perreca's... More

Go to Perreca's for the bread and get a meal as a side dish. Their bread is fabulous, hot and steamy from the oven. The staff is friendly and make you feel right at home. The food is delicious and varied. Enjoy a bottle of wine with your meal and you will want to come back soon.

This is without a doubt the best loaf of Italian/Venetian bread that you can buy. Have to buy 2 loaves. One for the ride home and one for when you get home. This crusty, dense bread must be used same day or it will be a brick the next day. No presevatives!

Bread is such a treat these days for those trying to watch the carbs/grains/gluten. So when we go for a grain "treat", this warm-from-the-brick-oven loaf is the one we grabbed. Opens early, so go early!

We stopped by at 5pm on a weekday, but they had sold out of their famous bread! The woman working the bakery was great! She offered us one of the small loaves that they deem "not sellable due to their warped appearance". We got it and it was just as tasty!

Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning while visiting family in the area. The café was bustling, with people constantly coming and leaving. The staff kept everything moving - they were on their toes! We ordered breakfast and lots of coffee - and it was served fresh and fast and the coffee kept coming. The toast was Italian bread,... Perreca's has been making their coal-fired oven baked Italian bread for a long time. We have enjoyed it for a long time. They have a very good crust on the white long loaves or round, your choice, small or large. Their small store stocks Italian deli meats, dried pastas, sauces and other Italian delicacies. They have a plain sold by... More

Simply the best Italian bread in Schenectady, NY. Made in the "Little Italy" part of town. Hard crust on the outside and soft inside. Oh so good. You can purchase this on site at the bakery on Jay Street in the downtown area of Schenectady. However most of the local grocery stores carry Perreca's bread. The Jay Street location is... More
