We were looking for a place as good as our favorite sushi place back home in Connecticut. Mr. Wasabi fit the bill. Great, affordable lunch specials on sushi and sashimi. To top it off, we shared a special banana-tempura roll called a Geisha's Kiss. One of the tastiest rolls we have ever had!

This is my favorite place to get Japanese food near Niskayuna. The restaurant is always very clean and the service is fast and friendly. Their sushi always tastes very fresh; I especially like the pink panther roll.

Sometimes you go to restaurants and can never know what the soups will feel like. The ramen was delicious, sushi was fresh and the lunch box meals were beautiful. We had a fabulous meal. But then they treated us at the end with their fried ice cream for the kids. It took less than 45 seconds to finish this delightful... More

We go here quite a bit. The food is always great. The Pink Panther roll is one of our favorites as is the sauteed noodles dish. If you are in the mood for sushi - this is definitely the best place in area for it!

Trying new places around town. Mr. Wasabi had a nice warm vibe on a cold saturday night. Neither one of us eats sushi but the plates that went by looked appealing. We had the hibachi grill with shrimp and steak. Mine wAs delicious with all fresh ingredients. Wait staff was friendly. We had 1 app, 2 grills And dessert. Price... More

Let's start with the food. It's good, not great. Don't expect top cuisine. The problem they have is that they want to seat everyone close to the kitchen and register, while the front (close to the windows) is empty. They lose customers that way, because people walking think the place is empty, big mistake. That place should be looking full... More

Have eaten at Mr. Wasabi a few times when in the area. On our recent trip my son and I stopped in for lunch. I loved the variety of choices on the lunch special and ended up getting the tofu curry lunch special which came with a salad, four dumplings, four pieces of california roll, rice and a sweet and... Miso Soup came out hot, very good, salad crisp and cold, service good. Went down hill from here. Sushi was warm and a little dry, slightly bland. Partner ordered Teriyaki Steak, came out cold on a cold plate, tasted ok, just cold. Only two other tables occupied on a Saturday evening, not a good sign to begin with. Atmosphere was... More

Friendly, quick, convenient, delicious Asian dishes in Upper Union St. in Schenectady! Sushi, box lunches, take out the food is tremendous anyway you dine.
