Ate here tonight and had the Tuna tacos. Tacos were excellent. We also had the buffalo wings which were awesome. The staff was very attentive. I recommend this place.

Four of us had dinner at the Sayville Inn last night. I had not been there for quite some time since I thought that, under the old management, it was overpriced and the food mediocre. We had a pleasant surprise as we entered the restaurant and saw that it has been refurbished in a very tasteful manner. There are large... More

The re-opening of the Sayville Inn has been a nice addition to a quaint town. The food and service was good. If you are looking for the "old" Sayville Inn you will not find it. This has turned into a pub type restaurant and does not have the atmosphere that the "old" Sayville Inn provided. It is still a nice... More

Great to see this historic place open again, we were waiting for over a year. New owners have kept the history, but added a youthful vibe. Food is very good, although slightly limited in the dinner menu, but well done and reasonably priced. Manager Chuck, showed us the historic 1889 section behind the "prohibition" section. Love the history of Teddy... More

First time I have been to the Sayville Inn since the new owners took over. I loved this Sayville landmark for years, so I was a little worried. I didn't need to be. While I don't think I'll see the décor change every six months under Pam's ownership, it's woody and comfortable pub style was perfect for a frigid night.... More

This was my first visit since ownership has changed of this lovely historic eatery. I was not bowled over by food... menu..pedestrian at best... service fine.. but why was the place was empty at dinner time?. Needs a Happy Hour and some inspiration in the kitchen. I wish them well.. and will reserve final judgement until their new menu comes... More

We visited here with friends on a winter weekend. After a short wait at the inviting bar, we were seated in the main dining area. We took some time getting to know the new menu - since the restaurant re-opened recently the menu was different and a little more limited than it was at our last visit. After considering some... First of all I love when an owner is visible & goes from table to table. Thanks Chuck! Also, on the menu it lists 3 different chowders. Try the "Long Island" which is 1/2 New England & 1/2 Manhattan. Oh my goodness. It's not thick nor to watery. It's so darn good I will go back just to buy it... More

As others did, we awaited the reopening of this classic restaurant. The history of this building is phenomenal, and the new owners kept that history intact. The food was very good and the manager Chuck, was very accommodating in showing us the famous portion used by John & his cousin Teddy Roosevelt during the early 20th century.

Hearing the Sayville Inn had new owners and was to be reopened soon, I eagerly anticipated a reincarnation of what it once was. For many years after moving to Sayville and making it our home, the Sayville Inn was our restaurant of choice for special occasions. The menu never failed to delight, and the decor theme was changed on a... More
