We were recommended by a friend to try Bistro 25. We have 5:45 reservations. We were seated outside. My friend is allergic to bees. Once we ordered our drinks the yellow jackets were swarming around us. We asked Gia, our server, if they had any...swatters. She said no and this was not the last time that she said no. Why disappointing? The menu online was very different than the menu that was presented to us. Their bar and alcohol selection was very limited. The bees. The food was ok. It looked good but it was nothing special. My marinated strip steak was chewy, not tender at all. I’ve had much better. My husbands filet mignon was not flavorful. The creme brûlée I was going to share with my husband was too small. The size of peach. I was shocked. Gia's service was very slow. The manager stopped by to see how everything was going. I didn’t want to embarrass my guests, so I kept my mouth shut. If this is how they operate during COVID-19, I can’t imagine how it’s normally operated. The BIGGEST positive was they had an amazing young entertainer named Matthew Taylor. He and his guitar entertained us. His music was soothing. He played for the 3 hrs. we were there. We tipped him nicely.More

Wonderful atmosphere, very warm and comfortable-don't be deterred by the lack of curb appeal (cant always judge a book by its cover) when inside you'll be pleasantly surprised. The menu has a lot of variety with a bar menu that can be ordered at the...table and is good value. Food was delicious with excellent service. Be sure to ask Marty the owner to suggest a signature cocktail if he doesn't already pop by your table to say "hi and thanks for coming." There's a lot of choices when selecting a place to eat, make this your next one, you'll be glad you did!More

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon with a friend for lunch. We were seated right away and shortly after most tables were taken. Our friendly waiter explained all the specials. I started with the Manhattan clam chowder which was very good but could have used...a few more clams in it. My friend chose the bistro burger with the side of cold slaw which she loved and I had the chicken salad on the croissant with a side of field greens. My sandwich was missing the Swiss cheese as described on the menu, but I was fine with that because my waistline really didn't need it! We both enjoyed our meals. Prices were very reasonable. $14.00 for the burger and $14.00 for the sandwich. Soup was $4.00 and was a nice size portion. Would definitely come back to Bistro 25!More

lovely meal for two on a busy saturday night. owner/host was charming. appetizer (rock shrimp) delicious and they thoughtfully split the arugula salad. crab cakes (main course) were very good (almost all crab no breadcrumbs or filler) but not super flavorful.

This was our first visit by chance after a hike at a nearby park. We feel like we found a jem! The staff was so professional and friendly. Everything was outstanding from the appetizers through to the entree. My husband and son said the oysters...were so fresh it seems like they just came from the water ! The beet salad was simply delicious. We had the grouper special with risotto and basil sauce - wow ! And we all tasted my son’s breaded pork chop entree which was awesome. We don’t live in the area but we agreed that we will definitely make the trip again to come back to Bistro 25.More

Stopped in on a whim, during the Sayville SummerFest street fair. Was looking for some good food, since the fair was lacking in options. Remembered Bistro 25, which had always been consistently good, so walked over from Main Street. They had just opened, so the...dining room was empty. We were given the brunch menu and decided on the fried chicken with cabbage slaw and corn pudding as well as the short ribs skillet with roasted potatoes and two eggs. We shared the truffle mac and cheese. Our entrees were $10-$15. All of our dishes were delicious and very filling. Have never had a bad meal here and the wait staff and owners are friendly and hard-working. They were setting up to host a bridal shower in the back room adjacent to the main dining room, which can be closed off. A nice touch for private parties. They are open Tuesday - Sunday, serving brunch/lunch/dinner. They offer a variety of selections sure to please everyone. Definitely recommended.More

This has become our favorite place to dine. They have a great menu whether it be brunch, lunch or dinner. The food is always delicious. The atmosphere is quiet enough for dining but casual enough to bring friends and family and talk. We initially went...there through a Groupon but we love it so much that not having one doesn’t prevent us from going. The only menu item we weren’t happy with was the cheesecake sort of cookie. The cookie part was hard and even a knife wouldn’t cut it. One item out of months of visits isn’t a bad track record. Go visit.More

The only reason I was unable to give 5 stars was the menu could have been more diverse. There were many seafood selections but as a person who is allergic I felt the menu was somewhat limited..

Never noticed it on the menu, doesn't mean they don't have it. I would call them directly.
