I ate here on a dark, cold, rainy night, and was immediately entranced by the warm, cheerful atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was delicious. I had butternut squash soup, which had an expected and delightful garnish of crisp brussels sprouts leaves. Then a flatbread with bacon, more sprouts, etc., which was really a small pizza. Then dessert. Slightly more expensive than I would have expected for this part of the world, but absoultely worth it.

Even during the COVID pandemic, this restaurant managed to exceed expectations. We went for lunch on on Sunday and scored a table outside. Everything from the food to the service was thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Every dish from this farm-to-table gem was delicious and portioned well. As a vegetarian, there were plenty of options and we left very satisfied. We shared the jar of marinated olives (delish), the hummus and Greek salad (omg) and the burrata with grilled peaches and the mac and cheese. Simply perfect!

The pulled pork tacos, buttermilk fried chicken and fish and chips were all awesome! The fried chicken came with this lovely biscuit and a hot honey sauce that was out of this world and really original. Service was outstanding. We will be back!

We visited Miss Lucy's on a Wednesday. I called ahead and was told no reservation was needed for a party of 5. I was also told the restaurant is not crowded on Wednesdays. This turned out to not be the case. Every table was occupied. We were seated in a timely fashion and were given menus. Three of us wanted the listed hamburger meal but were told they didn't have any hamburger. We then ordered the BLT on a ciabatta roll. We waited over an hour for our meals. The rolls that came with the BLT were extremely hard and very difficult to eat. We had to take our sandwiches apart and eat them in pieces. When the hardness of the rolls was mentioned the server her response was "that's because they are made in house". As we were leaving one couple in our party ordered 2 desserts to go. Upon opening the container in the car one of the desserts was not what was ordered. That dessert was returned for the correct one. No compensation was offered. We all decided we would not return to Miss Lucy's Kitchen again.

We have been coming to Miss Lucy’s every summer for the past 10 years. Food has always been very good although, post COVID, the menu is now more limited. The staff are very friendly. The restaurant gets very crowded on the weekends and service therefore slows down. The main drawback, however, is the horrendous noise level. The ambiance is rustic and as a result there is nothing to absorb sound. It is hard to even hear people at your own table and therefore everyone starts to shout. The problem seems to have gotten worse recently. For this reason we will probably not go back.

So pleased that we stopped here on our way home from skiing! We sat at a cozy candlelit table and were immediately greeted by a friendly server. We enjoyed a delicious pisco sour cocktail followed by homemade bread and some of the best French Onion I've ever had (Rich and flavorful beef stock, perfectly broiled cheese, and bite sized bread in the soup. Brilliant!). We then shared a fried chicken dinner and bread pudding with a cherry and sour cream ice cream. Both were absolutely delicious and just the right size. I would come back here in a heartbeat! Perfect date night spot!

A very casual old farmhouse look with delicious food. The spinach, garlic and artichoke dip was the best we ever had especially with the ciabatta bread nicely toasted for dipping. We also had the fried chicken with honey sauce and biscuit which was terrific.

We had our best meal of our three day getaway to the Hudson Valley at Miss Lucy’s! Everything was fresh and delicious and the menu is pretty much what I would consider “soul food,” but there are also healthy options… We especially loved the mac & cheese and fried chicken. And the desserts are out of this world, too. It’s in a beautiful old historic building… You will not NOT disappointed!

We have been to Miss Lucy’s many times when driving north. It’s our first and favorite stop. This time however, it was disappointing. My beloved Reuben sandwich was lackluster at best. With one slice of Pastrami I could barely taste it. It used to be filled with pastrami. My husband had a salad with grilled chicken and it was over cooked and dry. Really hoping this was a fluke mistake but not sure about going back sadly.

Our family of 3 was passing by Saugerties on our way back to NYC and decided to do a little tour of the town and their nearby waterfall. Miss Lucy's is ranked the #1 restaurant in town and we wanted to try it out. The restaurant definitely delivered on their #1 ranking. The food and service was great. My fish and chips was just delicious. The fried calamari was just perfect. My wife had pita bread with 3 different dips. Our young daughter had the grilled cheese with tomato soup. All the food was cooked very well. Recommended!

Really a fantastic place to have dinner or lunch! Best tomato bisque soup I have ever had in my entire life, and I have tried a lot of tomato bisque soup :-) the atmosphere is fantastic as well. This is comfort food for grown-ups. Beautifully prepared and incredibly tasty… Highly recommended!

Rarely tasted food that's so delicious. The burrata with pears is a must. The tomato soup was so good I almost wanted a second helping. We had buttermilk chicken and brisket sandwiches. You should get the salad. That salad is so tasty it really spoiled any other salad for me. Then, almost on a whim, we had autumn creme brulee for desert. Wow that was wonderful as well. Excellent meal.

The service here was incredibly slow and the lighting inside is terrible - way too dark. But after waiting for nearly 45 minutes for our meal to arrive (in the dark!), we were actually delighted with our meal. Really everything we had was super.

On vacation and decided to eat here as reviews were very good. Service was excellent and our server was delightful! She shared so much history of Saugerties with us. My husband ordered the ribs which were so tender, tasty and plentiful. I ordered the scallops. They were very tender and fresh, but way too salty for my taste! I would have preferred much less salt, to get the flavor of the fresh scallops. I ordered mixed drink with vodka, fresh watermelon juice and lime juice. Presentation was really nice and drink was refreshing. Loved the rustic ambiance of the restaurant as well. Definitely worth a visit when you visit the area.

We ate here because it was rated the best restaurant in Saugerties. A couple years ago it was Slices which is right across the street. Our experience here was ok, but given the quality of other top rated Trip Advisor restaurants in the past, we were disappointed. Our food was good but not excellent. Our server was efficient but not particularly friendly. Food presentation and quality was adequate. Portion size and price were also fair. Excellent selection of cocktails, beer and wine.
