A nice fall Sunday morning included a walk out to the Saugerties Lighthouse and brunch at Love Bites Cafe in the Village. It was the perfect recipe for a lovely Sunday morning the first weekend in November. Cozy yet trendy little bistro style setting where...the staff was keeping good pace with the many arrivals who were out and about. We chose from the breakfast specials and we're not disappointed. Mimosas accompanied both a fritatta and a falafel selection. Good service. Not really a kid-friendly place, but only because of the setup of the tables. The restaurant is long and narrow. Moderately priced. If you are in the Mid-Hudson valley on a weekend morning, both the walk to the lighthouse and brunch at the cafe is a great way to pass the time.More

This location is quite centric and popular. We got a space on the bar otherwise it was full. Its decor is fitsy and colorful. Its a small location with the main dinning area and bar. Servers were nice, they have a cocktails menu and serve...breakfast all day. It was a busy time, service was slow and food was good. I had the eggs, bacon, sausage and salad. Haley was super helpful. No parking facilities close by.More

I had the eggs, bacon, sausage, salad & latkes. I don't know how they do it but I did not leave with that typical greasy food experience. The bacon was beyond excellent. It wasn't overly salty and you could really taste the flavor. The latkes...were crisp cubes, again not greasy, with a really refreshing hint of lemon. The dressing on the salad was light and clearly homemade. Overall, my family and I loved this place. My one suggestion for improvement would be to serve the butter a little warmer so it could be spread on the toast.More

As soon as you walk in the door at Love Bites, the warm greeting, pleasant aroma and soft decor is all familiar. I love the owners, staff and patrons, all have made this beautiful find in Saugerties Village worth the visit!

I Had dinner on a Friday evening with friends from high school. When we arrived we all ordered a delicious cocktail, I had the blood orange margarita and it was so good. We advised our server that we wanted to enjoy our drink before ordering...any food. Did she listen — absolutely not! She keep bothering us asking if we were ready to order! I was beyond annoyed, but was trying to be respectful of her and my guests. We ordered our meals and everything was so good. Now, time for the check, I had a separate check, she keep coming over to pick up the check — please, leave us alone, we will pay when we are ready. There wasn’t a line at the door — what was her rush! I want Live Bites to know that they serve delicious food and drinks and deserve a 10, service rates a zero! Please train staff to be professional and listen to their guests — our server ruined my meal. We will return again for your wonderful food.More

This small place in Saugerties N.Y. has vegan good, vegetarian choices as well as delicious items for us meat eaters. I had the brisket French dip and it was awesome. My friends had the burger, grilled chicken sandwich and the vegan burger and everyone enjoyed...their meals. Oh and the fries were pretty dang good too. They offered some great dessert choices as well as delicious coffee choices (try the iced mocha latte). Lastly, the service was extremely friendly and helpful. If you’re in the area check this place out and tell ‘em I sent you. LOLMore

Love it here. My daughter, granddaughter and I come often. Coconut Carrot French Toast is the bomb. So is the Avocado Toast . Cauliflower Wings are delish too.

Tess and the whole crew were outstanding. We had breakfast while in town and it was perfect. The menu is unique and uses lots of locally sourced food. One of the best breakfasts we have had in some time.

We took my mother in law here for brunch on Saturday for her 84th birthday. We were a party of four and I asked for a table away from the door. Unfortunately - there were none and we sat two tables away from the front...door. Before we even gave our food order two two seat tables opened up a little more out of the way from the door. I asked if we could put the two tables together and sit out of the way of the cold. We were told it’s “house policy” that the tables could not be combined. So unfortunately while our meal and coffees were delicious, we received a cold blast of air each time someone entered or left - that took away from our experience. The owner should either consider changing that policy or figure out how to keep the cold air from hitting diners. We are I’ll probably visit again as the food was delicious but it won’t be unless the weather is warmer - which is a shame as it’s a lovely cafe. So I would like to give this a five star rating but the lack of accommodation makes it a four.More

Sweet little homey place in a sweet little town. Definitely in the running for the best corned beef hash I've ever had, and that's going some distance. Friendly and attentive service staff, and all the dishes seemed super fresh. Wish we had a place like...this near where I live!More
