Still a great place for old favorites and new items. Long standing Saratoga Springs favorite with locals and tourists. Best southern style fried chicken ever. Expanded now with outdoor seating. Comfortable and friendly. The two of us shared four appetizers for our meal: Chicken livers, hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, and Hoppin' John salad. All uniques and expertly prepared. We... We stopped in for breakfast and it was great! The eggs Benedict with crab cake was definitely homemade. The coffee is fabulous as well. The inside of the restaurant has eclectic decorations which make is fun to look around. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes!

If you're in a Saratoga, you have to stop at Hattie's. Fried chicken is the dish that made them famous, but they have good shrimp and crab cakes too. There are always specials as well. You have a choice of sides, and the mashed para ties and cranberry cole slaw (seasonal) are great. They don't take reservations, so go early... More

We stayed in Saratoga for one night and this was our first stop. Everything about this place screams New Orleans!! The fried chicken was supreme but so was everything we tried including the drink "Pain Killer" which was delicious. Service with a smile and even though we busted chops with the servers - they were good sports and very knowledgeable.... More

Yes it has changed since Hattie and Bill were cooking and serving. But it still has much of the same feel. Some of the dishes Hattie would not recognize but she would recognize her chicken. The front room is almost the way it was when I first came here about 40 years ago. The back room addition means the wait... More

We are huge fans of Hatties because they make the best Mojitos in town. Sure they are $10 a piece in small glasses, but they taste like summer and I could drink them all day. The fried chicken is always awesome, and sides like Collard Greens are amazing. Not your typical collard greens, they are hot but sweet. My husband... More

So, I was planning a trip to Saratoga Springs tomorrow and am looking for a restaurant for after work. Saw this- saw Louisiana style and I was sold! EXCEPT- I am actually more sold because they are actually closed for cleaning yesterday, today, and tomorrow. CLEAN IS HOT! I'll come next time and I'm super happy to miss out for... More

We visited Hattie's for dinner on a Sunday evening. The outdoor patio is a nice spot to sit if it's summertime. The indoor covered patio/bar area is uncomfortably hot and stuffy if it's a warm day. We ordered the fried chicken and catfish. The catfish was great, but the fried chicken was just okay. The chicken wasn't particularly crispy or... More

We spent a week in Louisiana last year but Hatties beat all of our meals in Louisiana. The fried chicken is good and meaty but the blackened catfish was a pleasure in my mouth. The place is small. The service is very good. We had four different waiters give us service from bring our food, taking our order, bring more... More

We order the fried green tomatoes, the wings, the fried chicken and the jambalaya. It would've been a nice meal except that there were hundreds of flies around until a couple ended up in the food. The fried chicken was undercooked, i bit into it and there was blood gushing out, SO gross! Sooooo, please skip it!
