Check in advance for the daily flavor and make your way to experience this authentic soft serve. Creamy texture with no added air or aftertaste. We had red rasberry and that is what it tasted like with no acidic notes. The portions are generous.

The ice cream is wonderful here. Very flavorful. Great place to meet up. it was during covid reopening and we could only get whatever flavor they had that day. It was vanilla/chocolate twist. creamy delicious goodness.
Very unique and special. The ice cream is absolutely fabulous. It’s very creamy and tasty. From reading the website the ice cream machine is over 100 years old and they only have one machine and usually two young ladies working. Nothing fancy about this place,...it’s just part of a dairy farm. The ice cream is slow coming out of the machine and just from the texture of it you can tell it’s going to be unusually creamy. I have been to the famous penn state creamy and I like this place better. I drive 4 1/2 hours just to get a ice cream there. Unfortunately they are only open from Memorial Day until they run out of ice cream on Labor Day. It definitely has a cult like following with people coming there for many years now bringing their children there.More
Delightfully historical ice cream stand featuring one flavor every day. Dont be afraid, try it!You wont be disappointed.
I used to stop by this stand regularly back in the 1980s and it's still just as good today! I had a peach and black raspberry swirl, and it was the tastiest creamie I've had in years!
Since they only do one flavor a day, you can tell which are peoples favorite. Over the Labor Day Week-end they had chocolate, peanut-butter swirl. The line when we got there was out the door and about 20 deep. Well worth the short wait. It...was really good.More
If you’re into high butterfat content ice cream, Donnelley’s is a must! Each nite they have a different flavor of soft ice cream twisted with vanilla. One night per week is a surprise. But they close the night of Labor Day, so don’t be late!
Donnelly’s is a family run “custard” stand actually on the family farm. The flavor changes daily and there is only a single flavor available each day. It’s rare to not find a moderate line waiting for service and this attests to the quality of their...product. It is an ice cream “stand” with no indoor seating and really little outdoor seating. Be prepared for that.... We do stop for a cone anytime we’re in the area and the cones are of generous proportions.More
I’m not a big fan of soft serve ice cream but this is the best I’ve ever had. They serve one flavor a day. Well it’s actually two flavors but it’s mixed so you only get one choice. First day was strawberry and vanilla and...then as we were leaving our vacation they had chocolate and almond coconut. It was amazing. Be warned you must be careful that the ice cream does not fall off the cone - we saw it happen at least once on each of our visits. It’s a tragedy. I think a half gallon to take home is about $17. I agree with other comments that the staff don’t tend to smile or have much personality- I wonder what it would be like if they gave them more money and required that they smile. I’m assuming they don’t get paid much . Anyway it’s not a place to go to for the ambience it’s a place to go to for really great ice cream.More
Found this by chance a few years ago. We do go back every year. Ice cream is great. The girls serving have no personality and could care less if they help you or not. They act as though you being there is a bother.
