Eat n' Meet serves only locally produced meat and produce in a totally unique atmosphere where you can discuss the food with the preparers. It is truly a personal experience to go there.

We waited in the area for 2.5 hours on Tuesday August 9th and after sitting outside the restaurant until 5:05 when opening was at 5 o'clock I called the number on the door only to be told that they had closed for Good on August 7th very sad to see this establishment going out of business it really was the... Eclectic restaurant in Saranac Lake. Well worth the wait. Had amazing meatloaf. A true comfort food extravaganza. This is somewhere anyone visiting Saranac needs to stop.

Fantastic food served by people who see food as the ultimate creative expression. This place is not high brow and is about good food pure and simple. Clearly loved by locals... A tourist would not likely land here-- it is as personal as you can get. Go online around mid day to check the day's menu (sourced locally as possible)... More

This restaurant should be number 1 in Saranac Lake... even in the Lake Placid area. Number 2 does not give justice to the overall experience there. This restaurant is a little shack, with only two tables inside. However you can order and take out. Best is to stay there and chat with the adorable owners. There is no alcohol served... More

I will admit: when I first walked in, I had NO IDEA how things "worked" here and was a bit flustered. But the smell of the food kept me there. I had stumbled in when they had first opened for the day and the owners kindly explained how things are: you call in or place your order, and then ((gasp))... More

What a find! This place is for sale and it kind of saddens me because it's awesome. The food is great. My husband and I got the burgers, fries, and mac-n-cheese for our children. Our children are picky mac-n-cheese eaters and they loved it. My husband and I ate some too and thought it was so good. We highly recommend... More

Once again we had a truly great meal. We all loved everything we had; fish-n-chips, gyros, veggie reuben, and smoked corned beef reuben. I found the veggie reuben incredible and the kids loved it too. The best ingredients and time in preparation make it all wonderful. We ordered ahead when I realized it was going to one of those days... More

We made a mid winter visit to Saranac, travelling with a dog and unable to leave alone in the hotel room, we decided to get takeout. Ordered over the phone and dropped by to pick up our order. Very friendly visit with the owner. Food ready promptly. We both had Reubens with home prepared pastrami. The best we've ever had,... More

We called for take-out, and had fantastic meals. I had the Reuben sandwich--a standard from which one normally doesn't expect much, but this one was filled with by far the best smoked corned-beef brisket that I've ever had. The jaeger schnitzel likewise was fantastic, the flavors were terrific, and the portions were particularly generous given the reasonable cost. A great... More
