Food is very good, standard seafood offerings. However, with long waits for tables and limited bar space, we tend to only go to the Beacon on non-peak hours. Definitely avoid on the weekends.

Don't believe the hype. Great sunset but there is much better food in Sag Harbor - try El cappuccino instead!

You should go to celebrate. It would be hard to beat the view, the food, the service. It has a price tag, but for special events worth it.

The food is always perfect and the views are breathtaking. They don't take reservations and the line gets quite long at opening, but wait for a terrace table at sunset. It is well worth it. Check days open and hours as it is a seasonal restaurant. Favorite dishes are the appetizer chicken salad, any fish, amazing fish soup and the... More

No reservations are taken here, unfortunately and on a recent Wednesday night, we arrived at about 6:30, just in time to score one of the few remaining tables. Very glad we did. As we weren't particularly hungry that early, we started with drinks - very nicely made - and then went right to the main course. There was a local... More

The outside tables at the Beacon have the most gorgeous view in the Hamptons. The food is usually good to very good. But sadly this restaurant seems to make a practice of overcharging customers. I was presented with a bar bill for double what it should have been. When I pointed out this was impossible, it was corrected with an... More

The service and food were great. Atmosphere was nice. We had the pleasure of viewing the most spectacular sunset over the harbor. Lobster rigatoni is the recommended special.

Beacon is only open in the warmer months and they don't take reservations. They open at 6 pm and by 5:45, there was a long line. Just one waitress for about 20 outside tables and a few others who bring the food and clear. We waited 20 minutes to order a drink and it came after we'd been there 40... More

Beacon was recommended to us so we queued up early and were 2nd in line to try and nab a table outside. Unfortunately they only have 1 table for a group of >4 so we ended up inside anyway. The food was okay, but not the best meal in Sag Harbour by a long shot. No chance of a relaxing... More

We opened The Beacon up, way back in 2000. It's been a great success since Day 1, only growing better with the start of each new summer. We've learned a lot along the way about what it takes to make a summertime-only Hamptons restaurant move and groove. As the light on the East End changes and a new season approaches, we are reinvigorated by the beauty our region provides us. The menu, the wine, and some of the faces may change every year, but one thing never does: our full attention to you.
