The staff here could not be more rude. The entire experience was awful. Having split time between NYC and Sagaponack for 30 years, I have never encountered service and attitude this bad. We eat out all the time and this place is without question takes...the cake for making diners feel like second class citizens. We had a 6pm reservation on a Sunday night in September 2020. The restaurant was absolutely empty and remained that was still like that at 9pm when we left. Despite this we were ignored when we arrived, given an awful table. When we asked if any of the empty tables on the main deck were available we got eye rolls and attitude. "We have 150 people arriving at 6:30pm, and another 150 coming at 8pm. We have no flexibility at all." Who writes this script for the staff. The restaurant was empty, the staff was rude and on top of this it is the food is sub-par and exorbitantly expensive. I don't mind spending $200 a person on dinner if the food and experience are worth it. Every summer, I remind myself not to come here and every year, I stupidly try it once. This is the absolutely the last time I pay this restaurant $500 to insult me.More

This restaurant is not for tourists or other short-time visitors. They seated us at a terrible table, despite asking to be reseated in an otherwise empty restaurant. The service was slow & rude. The food mediocre. What became clear during our meal was that we...were not “regulars.” The maitre d’ was busy schmoozing the regulars & their service appeared to be quite nice.More

Totally enjoyed drinks and dinner. Lovely outdoor dining, delicious food and great service. We will be back and totally recommend as a must go spot while in the Hamptons.

Strolling through Sag Harbor with a few friends, one of them thought Le Bilboquet looked pretty and suggested stopping in for after dinner drinks and desserts. I watched the host? manager? approach a young white couple on their way in: he politely greeted them and...asked whether they had a dinner reservation. As my friend (a black woman) approached, he literally stepped in her path and warned, "You need a dinner reservation to come in." Why didn't he inquire rather than assume she had none? Should it matter that my friend happens to be very comfortable, was wearing expensive clothing and jewelry and had bags from expensive village shops on her arm? No, but I'll mention it anyway. She maintained her cool and asked to see the menu. He tried to steer her to a faded menu under glass, unlit and practically under a bush. She walked past him to go inside and take a look at the menu. However, at that point NONE of us had any desire to give them business. 1.) This is 2019. 2.) Sag Harbor was one of the oldest historic vacation spots for well-heeled people of color, so this is particularly egregious. This is not the sort of business I will support ever, anywhere. This also stains the image of their Manhattan mother ship -- with employees like that I can't imagine they are ignorant to the bad behavior. I hope anyone considering this option will agree they don't deserve the patronage of decent people.More

Invited guest to check out the venue for possibly renting the space for 3 private parties. Arrived 11pm Saturday 15 people in line, Martin (manager) let them in, I waited Martin let 13 other people (regulars I guess) pass me as I stood there. 25+...people left, I told Martin my name, who invited me etc. He said you’re not getting in. Ok I’ll take my business elsewhere, thank you for being so rude.More

And it was, everything laid back including asking for the check, 3 times , not such a bad thing perhaps. The meal as a whole was ok, nothing to write about, the toilets on the other hand were the best I’ve ever used in America.... When the waiters walked passed the table shook. Nothing really bad but I’m sure there are better places in town so a score of 3.5More

Hey bud, I had to write a review on yelp.. An absolutely terrible experience! Go to this restaurant if you want a FAST FOOD experience. Ordered 4 appetizers. While we were still eating, the busboy was sent to clear the table. I told the person...to come back after we will be done. Then.. they managed to botch 3 out of 4 entree dishes. The waitress recommended a Halibut special. We ordered 3. Also ordered a salmon at medium temp. 3 out of the 4 dishes were served with a raw center. Totally inedible. Dishes were taken back and returned after about 10 min. Manager came over, apologized and offered 2 deserts on the house. While we were eating the dessert, the waitress came by and asked if we wouldn’t mind rushing as the table was needed for another reservation!!! If they would’ve cooked the entrees correctly, maybe we would have been ‘on time’. We were forced to wait for them to fix their first 3 mistakes and then, after being seated for 1:40 (min), the waitress had the audacity to ask us to leave. We had more class than causing a scene but felt compelled to write this review. This place is an absolute disaster. I have been to countless restaurants but this place is the absolute worst! Btw.. look at the pics, for an average of $200/person, this is totally tacky! I wouldn’t recommend this place if it was the last restaurant on Earth! 100% serious review! If you are considering this, you’ve been warned.More

An amazing restaurant at Sag Harbour overlooking the harbour. Buzzing with Long Island glitterati diners a real social event. Food was superb and great service. I had linguini clams really tasty. Local snapper fish also on the menu. Also appreciated by our party.

Thanks to the entire staff for a fabulous meal! Philippe was a most gracious host for out impromptu get together. Cheers to Andrea and the wait staff, who were constantly trying to make our experience so much more that we could have ever anticipated. Peter...ShatnerMore

We come here about 4 or 5 times per Season and have never been disappointed. The food is always spectacular. The space is chic and the setting is beautiful. I've never had a problem with service there. But probably because we know what we're getting...into. It's a see-and-be-seen type of place. The people watching is fantastic. But we always go in dressed well and know how to interact with the staff. The service is very French. So, yeah, if you're going to sit there drinking a single glass of wine with a sourpuss face complaining about the prices, you're probably going to get what you give. They can fill the place with people who can pay their prices, so why wouldn't they? The last time we were there, the manager even came out to apologize for the slow service because it was their first weekend open and they were still getting into their stride. To be honest, we hadn't even noticed because we were having such a lovely meal.More
