Any deli that does not make their own potato salad with pride, shouldn’t call themselves a deli. The potato salad tasted like preservative chemicals. It was so bad I threw it out 2lbs ($17). I love potatoes any way they can be prepared but this...was disgusting. Shame on them for not caring about their customers. I got sticker shock when the bill showed $16 for two knishes. These are the same square knishes you can get at the grocery store for $1.49 each. They were old, hard at the ends, and inedible. Businesses that try to charge the customer high prices instead of providing more value end up going out of business. The place seemed very clean and has a large selection of items and deli meats. But for the poor quality and the cost, I won’t be going back.More

They are way overpriced. They make Balducci's and Whole foods look cheap, but rye deli food quality is inferior to those stores.

I heard this is the place to get crumb cake. They make a delicious old school crumb cake with a buttery topping. If you ask me what my criteria is for a great crumb cake, I'll tell you it's the crumb to cake ratio. If...it's 50/50 crumb to cake, it's a winner. Their crumb cake met this benchmark.More

Food for 10 ordered for us for funeral of my mom. Food never arrived, delivered to wrong address and left outside (36 hours until we found it by riding around our neighborhood) they never even bothered to see if someone was home when dropping it...off. When family member called RRD and asked what happened and if they would be sending new platters or crediting her acct owner said “ sorry neither” ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Not only was this for a shiva call but we live 2 miles from RRD how could they not send someone to look for food and try and make good on their HORRIBLE MISTAKE! I am so embarrassed to say we live in the same town and how HEARTLESS this establishment could be. Never liked them before and I Promise to NEVER go again even for coffee and make sure all my local Rye Brook friends and family NEVER go as well in a time of Covid and my moms funeral how could they not want to make this horrible situation better. STAY AWAY! TOTALLY HEARTLESSMore

January 14th is National Hot Pastrami Sandwich Day. We'd have eaten in the Rye Ridge Deli (it's 10 minutes from home), but due the the Coronavirus I ordered on the phone, picked it up and took it out to eat at home. Five people. Four...sandwiches: 3 Overstuffed Pastrami on Rye; 1 Regular Pastrami on Rye. And one order of Cheese Blintzes with sour cream. Overstuffed? Not by Katz's Deli standards. But the worst part of it was the Pastrami itself. I'm 82 years old. I've been eating Pastrami for a long, long time. I know what Pastrami is supposed to taste like. This didn't taste vaguely like Pastrami. Basically, it was tasteless. Frnkly, it was the worst Pastrami I've ever eaten. And what's your idea of what a Half Sour Dill Pickle should be? Mine is halfway between raw cucumber and full sour. Their Half Sour Pickle tastes like maybe 10% on the way from cucumber to full sour pickle. Not a real pickle at all, just a cucumber that took a short swim in brine. The French Fries were OK. The Blintzes were for my wife. Not even worth describing. Only thing interesting about them is the amount of sour cream they supplied -- tremendous. Surprising, but not enough to overcome the not-very-good Blintzes themselves. Altogether, a complete disappointment. Sad. It used to be good.More

Good deli, conveniently located across from the beach. Sandwiches were ok, nothing special, but the staff was friendly and the place was clean. Chicken breast was overcooked but not terrible. Enjoy.

We stopped in before visiting family (we've been there a few times before), and ordered some small food items (prices were quite high and we just wanted a snack). We ate (I had a baked sweet potato which unfortunately was burned so couldn't eat the...hardened skin....but never said a word or complained in any way), paid, left,. 5 mins later realized we left our camera on the table. Went right back and saw it wasn't on the table. So went to the front counter and asked if they had/had found our camera. The man said "No, someone must have taken it". This seemed too unbelievable that in 5 minutes someone walked into the restaurant, took the camera from the table and left. So we asked the busboy if he saw it and he immediately said, Oh yeah, I gave to the guy up front - and pointed to the man. So then angrily proceeded back to the front and said Give me my f*ing camera. He immediately reached around the corner and grabbed it. Knew right where it was. COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Disguisting.More

had a special facebook promotion but since the cashier (who was extremely rude and obnoxious) could not activate it on our phone, he refused to honor it. He said if we came back and it worked he would honor it. So, we return in a...few minutes with it working and he said he couldn't honor it now. it would have been easy enough to cancel the original credit card charge and issue a new one but again. he refused. Adding insult to unprofessional injury, we called and wanted to speak to the owner and after 72 hours never got a call back. NOT THE WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. needless to say, we will never be going back and will tell everyone we know. what a shame since the service was excellent.More

When the waiter takes 10 minutes to come and take your order and you have to remind them to bring the french fries, that is not good. OK food, convenient location and lots of parking in the busy shopping strip.

THIS is the home of the best deli anywhere and Katz’s on the Lower East Side cannot hold a candle to the lean, lucious, and huge pastrami on rye served at Rye Ridge! The restaurant is immaculate, the service swift, and the wide menu is...most appealing! Do not miss the breakfasts or the savory matzo ball soup! Wish I had gotten her name ...petite woman, gray hair, (our server) brought my granddaughter’s Mac and cheese and black and white dessert cookie...so very kind! Always A+!More

We use Rye Ridge on many occasions. Many work functions and holidays. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Food is always tasteful and plentiful. When we order it always arrives hot and on time. The large subs are great. The hot food is on...par with a high end restaurant.More

Dropped by completely by accident. We were staying at a hotel near by and I asked SIRI, where can I get a decent bagel, She sent us here. The menu was so extensive and everything looked so fantastic I upgraded my meal to a Pastrami...omelet, home fries and rye toast. My wife got the Challah French Toast. Mouth watering yet, it should be. It was out of sight. I grew up with gook Jewish Deli. We now live in upstate New York. Not your home to everything Jewish so I miss places like this. The trip was rewarding. Yea, maybe its a little pricey, but remember where you are and it was very good.More

There are many good choices when you go to the Rye Ridge Deli. The soup is one of my favorites. The chicken noodle/matzoh ball soup of course, as well as the veggie soup and the mushroom barley soup. And then you get into the knishes,...the pastrami, the chopped liver... Just go and enjoy. You will be glad you did.More
