Went there For the first time today after family kept saying how good it was was greeted by a very nice worker who sent me in the back room since the bar was all full. I had homemade chicken soup, the large order of lasagna, and a link sausage ALL for $13!!!! The lasagna alone was only $7!! There was plenty of sauce and it came with bread! I will DEFINITELY be going back!!!

Sorry that Handsome Howard did not have a great experience. I have been going to Rocky's since I was a little girl... I am now 60 yrs old - not much has changed - especially the sauce and meatballs - this is the only Italian restaurant that makes even close to my mother and mother in laws sauces (we are Italian - Americans) and meatballs - so if you want the real thing for a minimal price, Rocky's is the best place to go! Try it again!!

WOW!!! First time visit today. We had lunch at this fine establishment. First off you are treated special as first timers and EVERYBODY welcomes you. Extremely friendly place with customers and service help being truly happy to have you there. They are proud of their spot! I had lasagna...my friend had shells and sausage. We each had a cup of chicken soup. Fellow diner told us to order a side of pork. You got to be kidding me!! I did not see it on the menu but it came out covered with sauce and tender enough to eat with your fork. I am here to say this serving of pork has to weigh close to two pounds!! Needless to say could NEVER finish it all and took it home. All done we crawled out with food and had left $28.00!! No this did not include tip...... You are NEVER going to top this place....it is ALL about eating!

There for the second time in my life, 10 years and tons of red sauce in between. Not the bustling place I remember, we were alone at 1 pm on a Tuesday. Obviously, the bulk of their budget is not wasted on decor. Nor on waitstaff. For that matter, not on ingredients or creativity. Well, we did get out of there for under $15, but I was hoping for a more memorable experience. The furniture and tableware could only be described as battered and the menu as tired. We tried a pedestrian lasagna, all alone on the chipped plate, and a simple split sausage open-faced on a toasted bun with sauce. Simple fare, like I might make at home. Probably will next time.

Homemade food that smells great and tastes great. Bread on the table was fresh and tasty. Salads are plentiful and very good. Meals were delicious. Service was very good. Good variety of sandwiches and pasta dishes as well as homemade soups.

Rocky's has been around for decades and for good reason. The atmosphere is totally authentic, and the homemade classic Italian food is the best. The ravioli is amazing and they are famous for their tripe.

Great no frills Italian old school lunch

For an old school, run down, in a tough neighborhood establishment, this place sure does pack em in for lunch. No frills, seat yourself, limited menu, standard specials each day of the week. Great food and quick service. One of Tuesday's specials is Lasagna, small or large, including salad, meatball and sausage extra. Great for lunch.

My family has gone here since they opened (generations) . I came in town to visit family and of course we went to Thursday Ravioli. Homemade , delicious so good. My pops loves their tripe (I can’t do cow lining) . Their tomorrow salad yummy !

Italian hot spot

Rocky's is a no-frills Italian eatery, that like Antonetta's farther out on Jay Street, serves Italian favorites and standards. Each day there are three specials. Today included stuffed shells. You can order a small or large portion, or some items, as a side. I chose a small order of the stuffed shells, added a meatball, and chose a salad rather than soup. The salad was very fresh and had a nice variety of salad fix-ins and the peppercorn-parmesan dressing was good. The red sauce was a bit acidic and not as layered or complex as the sauce at Antonetta's. The bread was tasty and the portion of shells was more than ample.

The food felt like it was frozen and microwaved. The restaurant didn't seem impressive or very clean. I went multiple times and often the service was extremely slow (once had to wait 50min for order) despite the number of customers. The price was reasonable, but you get what you pay for...

It's in the sauce

If you want a great plate of spaghetti, rigatoni, lasagna, ravioli, it's here and it's in the sauce. Four generations of hard work and feeding people they got it right. Nothing fancy but pay cash and get a full belly with a delicious meal. The best Italian sauce in the city and good people.

Family Feel Excellent Meal

Went to Rocky's for lunch for the first time last week. It was superb! The service was great and the food was even better. I had a large serving size and it was plenty of food at a very reasonable price! I'll be going here again.
