Have had two meals at Ricci's recently. Both rated as average. Service on a Monday night was very slow. We were disappointed both times.

We took my mother-in law here for her birthday. 2 of us had Lobster Bisque that was overly spicy. I got chicken riggies that was supposed to have mushrooms, hot peppers and olives. It was grossly overcooked pasta, dry chicken and about 50 olives with...no other veggies. We had to ask for bread & cheese and they asked us to leave after an hour b/c there was a line! My mother-in -law didn't even get to order dessert for her birthday!More
Who puts sugar in their mashed potatoes? Apparently Ricci's does. At first I thought it was my imagination, but my second forkful confirmed that there was a definite sweetness to the 'mashed redskin potatoes' I had ordered as my side dish. The clam chowder was...thin, with too many potatoes and not enough clams. The salad, which was nothing more than a bowl of lettuce with one cherry tomato and two croutons, was not crisp. The service was poor as well. I have to say that this was not my first visit to Ricci's. And a few of those times the food has been excellent. But they are inconsistent, leaning more often towards the mediocre. Last night's dinner was extremely disappointing. It will be a long time before I visit again. And that long time may be never.More
First visit. Being Friday, my wife and I ordered the beer battered fish fry. Excellent choice. Fish was over the plate. I had French fries that were deep fried with a light seasoning; my wife a huge baked potato. Tasty cole slaw and a large...serving of tartar sauce. Service was both fast and very friendly. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.More
The menu has something to please just about everyone. I enjoyed my chicken Marsala. two people in our group chose the fettuccine Alfredo and another had the prime rib. There were no complaints about the food. It speaks for itself This is a tiny neighbourhood...restaurant so expect a wait. It’s well worth itMore
My brother and his wife picked this restaurant for a family Christmastime lunch. None of us had been there previously. What a great choice! Two of us had gnocchi, the rest of the choices were Maryland crab cake sandwich, penne with vodka, and a Reuben....Everything was delicious, except that the crab cake was a bit overdone. The French fries were outstanding. Large portions and very reasonable prices. Lots of choices for the non-meat eater. Good service too. Very quiet atmosphere. Will definitely return, looking forward to trying other items on the extensive menu.More
I was looking for a place to eat on Monday and was going 0-3 when I found Ricci's open and walked in to try out a sub. I go the Big A on Asiago bread which is marinated eggplant, a spicy Calabrese salami and provolone...cheese. While not filled with the amount of meat I like on a sandwich, it did have a nice rich taste that left a bit of a hot aftertaste. I also got a nice cookie that they told me was based on a 100+ year recipe which made for a nice dessert and cooled the mouth after the hot salami taste. I would like to try out a few more sandwiches someday and would recommendMore
Ordered 2 fish frys to go, The fish was soggy, 6 fries per plate, smothered in Cole slaw. THE FOOD was cold. The person at register was rude. I called to complain about the order and the lady was rude and stated"you myst have dropped...it" She began yelling What's name ? I hung up. I will not return here , I have never been treated so rudely.More
Best meal ! Hats off to the chef and an outstanding waitress . I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese. It was very very good . I would go back anytime. My daughter ordered the eggplant Parmesan. Both dishes tasted great . Would highly recommend
First time eating there, although we have been in the area for 15 years. Nice list of specials posted as soon as you walk in. However, the board just says the main course. I ordered the Cajun Salmon, not knowing what sides it might come...with. I didn't really care, I love salmon. My hubby ordered the sword fish and the paper specials menu inside the menu listed his sides as rice and green beans. Apparently his menu listed the salmon and that it came with 'chili'- however it wasn't even listed on my menu. The 'chili' my salmon was served on top of was just seasoned black beans. Not exactly my favorite, but ok. And nothing else. I could've used a veggie. His green beans were ok, a little too much butter. His rice was just ok too- like boxed and a little over cooked. His sword fish and my salmon were both very good. Cooked well and well seasoned. The dinner quantities were plentiful, more than we needed. The salads were delicious and the bread was fantastic too. Served with the bread was a small plate with herbs and the table has a bottle of olive oil for dipping. It was a really nice addition to our meal. The server was non-attentive, which surprised me. When we were first seated I was glad we got the woman who appeared to be over 50, as opposed to the younger women. Once again my bias bites me in the …. Anyway, we had to wait for everything. And she said nothing as we ordered. I like when servers say something like "and the rice and beans with that are ok?', etc. I know why they don't, but it goes the extra mile in a customers eyes. All in all it was pretty good. Seemed like a fine place for kids. Meals were decent price. Our two fish meals together with tax and all were $43. Probably won't return, only because we have had so many better meals recently. I wouldn't try to persuade people to eat elsewhere tho.More
