From dingy bar to hip little restaurant. This is a MUST try, especially for a date night. The downstairs dining had a romantic feel and if the weather is nice, you can even eat on a little patio that is straight out of Europe! If you're looking for recommendations on food: calamari for the win!!

This a wonderful place to spend a nice evening. When i moved to this city and I went for the first time , they made me fell like part of a big family. the waiters , where very helpful with my friends. the food was delicious at a moderate price. The bar serve drinks from many different countries . They... More

So, I am staying at the Rochester Radisson Riverside, downtown and there really isn't much "dining" to choose from here. (Hockey mom with a child at camp at Bill Gray's Ice Complex, 15 minutes away). However, this little gem, is but a block and a half away, and it is definitely a must-try. The menu is eclectic but everything is... More

Went here with my wife for our anniversary. Hardest part was deciding what to order. Everything sounded amazing. We ended up sitting at the bar and ordered 4 or 5 small plates instead of sitting down for dinner. Tuna Tartare and Chorizo Mussels were my favorite but it was all very good. They also had an interesting cocktail menu and... More

What a Gem! You would never guess such a gem existed in this Location. The atmosphere was great, the service even better! The Food was fabulous, and so many choices. There was truly something for everyone. Rochester is not a place I would choose to visit, but I will definitely return to this restaurant.

We went here on a whim the other night and I had such a good time. There's so many choices it was hard to pick only a couple. We all got a couple plates and shared. Our server was very patient and helpful and offered us bread when we told him we were in town for a half marathon. A... More

Ever just feel like doing SOMETHING but seems like there's nothing going on? Step into Tapas. Its got a particular ambiance that is casual with a touch of romance. Or maybe that's not quite the right word but its one of those places where dining is an experience to be savored. Pricey for sure although that could be why they... More

My wife and I enjoyed the décor, the fun feel of the place and the concept of tapas. You have a big city feel when eating here with a variety of flavors to choose from and a mix of ages. Downsides are that the tapas are a pit pricy and the portion size a bit slow. Service was okay, we... More

My most recent visit at Tapas 177 I sat on the first floor where the bar is and had the most amazing mojito. There isn't anywhere in the city that makes one as great as Tapas.

We used to go to Tapas 177 years ago. It had a creative menu if superb food. You felt like you were in a big city without big city prices. Every meal was outstanding there. Like many people we try other places and had not gone to Tapas for a few years. On Saturday we went to GEVA Theater to... More
