Had a great plate of German sausage and potato salad that really had all the flavor of Germany. The place is small and not much area for parking and not in the best part of town but worth a trip there. A great place to...More

Historically speaking, Rochester is a German city. Swan Market is one of the finest remaining German food stores and restaurants. From Wednesday through Saturday, this is as good as it gets. It is a small, neighborhood place, and it's good to arrive as early as...More

Swan’s is just like being in Germany ! All the food is homemade, the dining room is 3 or 4 long picnic tables right in front of the deli counter, and customers sit down next to each other and soon become chatty. The food is...More

Swan's is my go-to spot for German herbal tea by Teekanne. I know several of the employees by name and appreciate practicing the German language in this local shop. Swan's has fresh Leberwurst, smoked Schinken and sausages, cold cuts, bacon, and venison "sticks" if you...More

This is a wonderful market with terrific liverwurst, sausages, bacon, and meats - which also happens to serve lunch. Everything is prepared to order - excellent German food and beer. All seating is at community tables and the spirit of camaraderie is most enjoyable.

I've been wanting to visit Swan Market, because I heard it was an odd, little eatery in a bad part of town, but it had good schnitzel and beer. Swan Market is indeed a little hole in the wall deep in an iffy area which...More

All of our tables are communal, so you can sit just the two of you and keep to yourselves or chat with the people seated near you and meet some great new friends! It works well for both! Hope you come in soon!!

Description
All meat at Swan Market is hand-cut, all sausage hand-made by owner Barry Fischer, who apprenticed with German master butchers to bring you a taste of Germany that's authentic down to the last detail. Swan's renowned German lunches are served Wednesday through Saturday from 11 to 2. Grab a seat at one of the communal tables and hoist a glass of imported German beer. It's impossible to go away hungry! There's also live German music on the last Thursday and Friday of each month. Wan can also cater events of any size, with anything from cold-cut trays to a full pig roast.
