I wanted my students to try Syrian food, so I ordered two platters and a dessert tray from Levantine's on the day of the event. No advance notice. The food was ready when I arrived, it was fresh and delicious, and it left my students delighted with their cultural learning. I highly recommend Levantine's to any business looking to feed a group with healthy food. The falafel, baba, and humus are incredible. There are some cookies that taste like heaven surrounded by shortbread. Even the catering trays are high quality. A ton of fantastic food at a great price!

We’ve eaten lunch here several times and the food is always delicious, fresh and wonderfully unique! The staff is friendly, helpful in explaining the menu and service is fast and efficient. We ate in the spotless dining room, but they also offer take-out and catering. There are so many choices, and our favorites include the crispy falafel on a rice bowl with a side of baba ghanoush and pita. The creamy chai tea (cold or hot), and tangy hibiscus iced tea were amazing. Save room for dessert..everything we’ve tried has been wonderful.. especially the many varieties of baklava.! Don’t be afraid to try something new… it’s delicious!

This unassuming spot cranks out great food. My chicken kabob pita sandwich was moist and full of flavor. The mezze plate of fresh hummus was to die for! My friend couldn't stop raving about her falafel and rice. Kind owner. Clean restaurant. And did I mention inexpensive prices? A winning spot!

This relatively new restaurant serves very carefully prepared cuisine in a very pleasant atmosphere in Gates, right off of Route NY531.
The owner, Mohamed is from Damascus and has a heightened sense of Arab hospitality that makes the experience special.
They offer about seven small dishes (Mezza) including the usual dips, stuffed grape leaves (vegan), salads and soups.
They also have wraps made with thin bread that include shawarma, kafta, shish kebab, and falafel. these are supplemented with grain bowls and a variety of pizzas (zaataa, spinach, beef).
Desserts are house-made and are special in appearance and taste.

They serve authentic Middle Eastern cuisine from cookies, hummus, falafel, soups, salads, wraps, etc. I just checked out the bakery when I was there and got an assortment to out.
The owner came here from Middle East and brought these delicious recipes
I ended up with Baklava (flaky fillo dough stuffed with walnuts, drizzled in simple syrup, and topped with crushed pistachio), Ma'Moul (delicate cookies stuffed with date paste & walnuts), Barazik (petite crispy sesame seed cookie), a fudgy Shokolada Brownie and a chocolate chip cookie.
I usually am not a big fan of these types of Middle Eastern cookies but I really enjoyed them. I would like to go eat lunch here with my girlfriend some time.

Excellent humus and excellent falafel (as good or better than any we’ve ever had.) Shwarma wrap had a nice chicken filling but- we were disappointed with pita. We will definitely come back and give them another try.

Awesome food. Service just as good. You order at the counter and they bring it out to your table. Nothing fancy, but solid food, some of the best Middle Eastern I've had in NY State. Keep up the good work and keep hiring nice friendly staff.

We didn't have a meal here, although the menu looked very tempting. But, we were not ready for a meal at the time. My wife picked up several pastries for our road trip. They were all very enjoyable. Surprisingly good prices. The staff was super friendly too.

Best and most reasonably priced Meditaran food I have had . My daughter's told me about it so for Christmas I got them gift certificates and at that time was offered 2 $5 off coupons. Stopped in with a friend for lunch and was not at all dissapointed.

Hands down the best Levant food I’ve eaten in the United States. Perfectly seasoned meats, aromatic spices, freshly baked pita and traditional cookies. I will be back

Levantine's is one of the newest Middle Eastern restaurants in the city of Rochester. While you can eat there, I normally choose take out. Each time I order something different for my wife and I. After 5 meals purchased here, I can say that this is as authentic as you can get in Rochester. There are no pre-packaged pitas here. The food is made to order and all of the ingredients appear to be fresh. There are vegetarian choices as well as those that include meat. There is no beer or wine available. If you are new to middle eastern food there are samplers that you can create. So far we have found the food and deserts to be outstanding.

Having had several dining experiences lately with Med. food, I wanted to try this unassuming place in Gates and I wasn't disappointed. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you--and quickly too. Levantine's is not a large place but has a nice, clean atmosphere. I ordered the stuffed grape leaves(small plate) and the barley salad which turned out to be huge. I think I'll have enough left overs for 2-3 more lunches. I also bought several mamoul cookies stuffed with pistachios and they are very good. The food was nicely presented and the people were friendly. Since you don't have to tip, you can manage a nice lunch without spending a lot. The barley salad was full of great flavors---barley, scallions, feta, pomegranate seeds, pistachios, golden raisins. It was lovely to look at and delicious to eat. Gotta try more menu options.

Levantine's is the best Middle Eastern/Mediterranean food I've had at a restaurant in the U.S. My wife and I are well-traveled, including time spent in the Middle East, and the food here is truly authentic.
The Arabic coffee is wonderful, the desserts are homemade and fantastic, and the fetteh and tabouli are to die for. On top of all of that, the staff/ownership are deeply rooted in the Rochester community.

I have dined at a new Near Eastern restaurant in the Rochester area, that is operated by young millennials, with limited experience, but a very well developed sense of hospitality !
Levantine Cafe does all of their own breads, pastries, and many unusual Syrian desserts. They are made with obvious precision, and are displayed attractively in a front counter.
The full meals and wraps (made with lavage bread) are great.
