There's always a line so that tells you something. Great ice cream, pleasant staff. Consistently coming up with interesting new flavors. We take anyone who visits us here, any excuse for snowflake!

We stopped by for ice cream while visiting in Riverhead. We knew it would be good when we saw the line wrapped around the building. It was worth the 15 minute wait to order. Excellent ice cream. The only reason I took a star off...is it is very expensive. However, it's definitely worth it since we won't be able to visit very often.More

this is my third visit to Snowflake, an annual pilgrimage after visiting my parents' graves at Calverton. While I love visiting my parents, the real thrill is always the ice cream. Happened by this place looking at vineyards and farms on an afternoon ride. I love mom and pop places and Snowflake fit the bill. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Adults and kids both enjoyed the stop.

Ordered one waffle cone and small cup and almost $15! Ice cream itself is not high quality but not overly sweet which I liked.

Amazing homemade ice cream. Huge list of flavors and items to choose from which made it even harder to decide. Large portions and quick service. Quaint gazebo sitting area behind the shop to enjoy our treats and whatever live music from the restaurant next door.

Ordered a Black Magic Woman sundae with blueberries and wet walnuts. I noticed they also have fresh local peaches advertised as a topping too. Yummm. I think I liked Snowflake Ice Cream more then Magic Fountain and I love Magic Fountain but the hard flavors...really are natural and authentic compared with Magic Fountain soft serve. Place got very busy very fast after what must have been a lull when we arrived.More

Simply a great home made ice cream shop. Special flavors. Simple cones and cups, but the “real” customers get the complex offerings—think sundaes, etc.. Highly recommended.

Pre- or mid-pandemic, there's almost always a line at Showflake Ice Cream Shoppe. The extensive selection of flavors are all made on premises, and they are all, in a word, delicious! My personal favorite four five years running is the erotic(and locally yclept) Peconic Swamp...Thing, a swirling blend of raspberry and chocolate fudge which induces rivulets of drool just writing about it! Also excellent are the Ice Cream Sandwiches constructed with oversize chocolate chip cookies. And yes, they call it a "Shoppe" because its products are very similar to those ice creams found in the Mom 'n' Pop emporiums of yore. Fittingly, Snowflake is owned and operated by a modern Mom and Pop! Never come away from Snowflake wwith even a hint of dissatisfaction! It's a must stop if we're anwhere in the area.More

What a great homemade ice cream shop!! We waited on a long line that was spaced 6 feet apart with the rest of masked patrons. People here were social distancing without being told. I had coffee ice cream that was creamy and excellent. My husband...had mint chocolate chip and double chocolate which he raves about. Huge scoops...we will be back..More

Voted best ice cream in the state (true), lucky to have it here on Strong Island. I'll stand in line anytime for them
