My wife and I, our two sons and my sister in law and her son stopped in for an early dinner. The restaurant was empty with the exception of us. The service was attentive, although I could have dealt without the owner(?) loudly expounding on...all topics as if he were an expert in all things to his crew and to a friend who was there. Because if there was one thing that the restaurant WASN'T expert in, it was the making of a panini. Both my wife and sister in law ordered paninis. Neither of them were particularly satisfied with the results. After taking the leftovers home, I realized the problem. The Cubano that my wife ordered had ham, turkey and bacon and the bacon literally looked uncooked. It was if they had put the ham and turkey on and then added an uncooked piece of bacon and then pressed the whole thing for maybe 3 minutes. However long it was, it wasn't long enough to even melt the cheese, much less cook the bacon. My sister in law, meanwhile, ordered a Venetian. She special ordered it without meat and what she got was, essentially, a caprese salad on toast. The cheese was still cold inside. The rest of us were generally satisfied with the quality of our meals, but almost raw bacon is truly a dealbreaker. My suggestion is that if you must get a panini, get one without meat and ask them to cook it 2 or 3 times.More
