The day had been hot, but the charm of the waiters and waitress made everything fade. Lunch was delicious and affordable. Their porch seating was cozy and private. With plenty of time to relax, cool in the shade and soft breeze. Their spacious large dinning area was suitable for family groups.

Wow didn't except to stay at the bar for our meal after waiting for our reservation. Renovated church spilt into a fine dining room in the main hall of holy house, and a quant bar rehab of the choir loft side of church building. Comfortable, friendly attentive service, bar food with class, nachos paired well with some local brews on... More

The food and service were excellent. Very nice seating outdoors and they also offer a bistro, as well as indoor restaurant seating. I really enjoyed the flight of New York bourbons after dinner.

The meal was delicious, my husband and I had the hanger steak and both of our steaks were cooked to perfection. Our waiter, David, was knowledgeable, courteous, and very helpful in choosing our selections. for dessert, we had a molten chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream...delicious! The atmosphere was quiet and the lighting low, perfect for dinner.

I hadn't been to Terrapin in a long time because years ago I was disappointed. However, they have had a major improvement in the menu. I took a guest who needed gluten-free options, and their menu clearly shows gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian choices and even dishes that can be made the way you prefer. But, for people like me who... More

Over the years, we've eaten there a number of times and after a couple of year absence decided to give it another shot. While for the most part it was OK, the dinner was not one that would bring us hurrying back. The tuna tapas and mini burger tapas, were really quite good. Nice ingredients made even better with interesting... More

Visited the bistro section of the restaurant early Wednesday evening and enjoyed an excellent meal. My wife and I were seated immediately and enjoyed a Manhattan cocktail while reviewing the lengthy menu. I started with a delicious pork meatball with green curry, one of the $5 tapas. For our main courses my wife ordered the Uncle Vinny special rigatoni while... More

My husband and I had lunch here on the patio and it was very nice. The only problem is I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich and side salad , the salad came dry and so did the sandwich, I did not know I should have ordered the dressing with the sandwich and the server did not mention anything so make... The dining room is set in a former Baptist church with huge windows that capture the sunset whilst you eat. The food was presented extremely well, full of flavor and both the waiter and sommelier were very knowledgeable and amiable. Our evening spent at Terrapin was the highlight of our 3 nights in Rhinebeck. Highly recommended.
