This restaurant is very small, you need to plan ahead if looking for weekend dinner spot. They also have a pastry counter with amazing cookies, pies, etc. The owner/chef and his wife are very personable. The Sara Bernhard cookies are wonderful!

This is a quaint restaurant with about only 8 tables which makes for a cozy, intimate dinner. The chefs are fabulous! I had the best gnocchi I ever tasted and my husband's steak was amazing! The desert was a little slice of heaven. Service was top notch! A must see for dinner or pastries. You won't be disappointed and will... More

Tiny restaurant in center of Rhinebeck. Excellent menu, our meals were better than expected, the service is wonderful, the husband and wife owners are right there making sure everything is perfect. Do not pass up the deserts. WOW!

Had an excellent dinner 2 days ago. The food was marvelous and the deserts were to die for. The service was super and later found it it was one of the owners who was helping us. There is nothing like being serviced by an owner. Loved it.

Food was gourmet and truly delicious. Pastries were homemade and imaginatively scrumptious. Hosts were welcoming!

We dine at this little tucked away gem (lunch & dinner) whenever we can, even though it involves a more than an hour drive from our home. The dining offerings appeal to our peference for culinary simplicity yet with imagination and a bit of a flair. Stop us from raving about the cakes and cookies for dessert. Still the best... More

This cozy restaurant, run by a great husband & wife team, provides inventive entrees, excellent sides, to-die-for baked goods and a solid, if pricey wine list. The food is so good that serving plonk wines as house wines by the glass doesn't make sense. They could provide glasses of $15/ bottle wine for $10 and make 200% profit, and increase... More

The shortest route from Rhinebeck to Europe is Calico, a petite bistro in the heart of town. My husband and I recently moved to the Hudson Valley and have enjoyed exploring gastronomically. This is our jewel. The chef/owner and pastry chef/hostess/owner are a perfect team, and the diner is the beneficiary. The food is of the highest quality -- delicate,... More

Four friends and I attended the Country Living fair this past weekend and were looking for a restaurant for Friday night. Thank heavens we made a reservation, because it's really tiny, and really good! Everything was exceptional -- I had the duck, my sister the Manila clams, one friend the butternut squash ravioli and another the shrimp and scallops. We... More
